Given you will probably start throwing up your cornflakes on this idea..but its time to get the Thomond park factor back. The atmosphere except for the odd occasion has been sadly limp...its like we binged on too much viagra up to a couple of years ago and are now feeling the after effects. Its Munster at home, its an English team....its time...#SUAF....as the saying goes.
NB...I still find it a little strange that a little light opera is our get up for it song....

secretfly there are always going to be "weaker" sides but I would say this new top tier competition in it's first week was more competitive than the old HC.
We'll see in the next rounds if this trend continues but it was a good start.

It was the Lunsters that made the atmosphere in Thomond Park good. They are gone now so not much you can do about it.

Still plenty of Lunsters around.
I was sitting right beside a physiotherapist from Cellbridge at a HC match last year.
What makes you think they've all gone?

Maybe Lunster should have a team of its own...so that we can demand more places at the fat-cat Euro table.

Thats a common mistake and not necessarly an indication of conscious sexism.
Have you ever heard this riddle:
Father/son riddle?
A father and his son are in a car accident. The father dies at the scene and the son is rushed to the hospital. At the hospital the surgeon looks at the boy and says "I can't operate on this boy, he is my son" .... How can this be??

Actually i think this last world cup was noteable for the almost total lack of reference to '66, infact a lot of the media seemed to go to pains to not mention it.

True. The seemed to have been a specific media ban on the idea. Which is progress.

The surgeon didn't know his 'son's name so therefore it's his delusions that prevent him from operating not the fact that he thinks the stranger kid is his 'son'.

No, you got it wrong for the same reason I assumed your physiotherapist was a man. The surgeon was the boy's mother. Subconsciously we are all prejudiced.

Westmeath tonto. Used to love Massey Ferguson's when I was a kid. My neighbours had one. Great wagon.

Doesn't mean I am wrong. I never speculated as to the sex of the surgeon.

You did get it wrong. You said "The father and son in the car weren't 'father' and 'son' to each other" Thats wrong.
You would have easily got it right if your subconscious didnt identify surgeons as being predominantly a male profession. Thats the whole point of the riddle. Most people get it right when the profession is switched to nurse.

You've no idea but in my case instead of ribs it's wrist, elbow, shoulder, both knees and one big toe.
I play tennis...badly.....very badly.

Re: Munster v Saracens
Going back to our brief allusion to remaining tickets yesterday I wonder what effect Munster's new 'dynamic' ticket pricing has had on the remaining tickets.
I bought 4 tickets for friends on Tuesday at €45 each and there are currently 15 left but now at €50 each.
Also as far as I'm aware the terrace tickets went from €20 to €30 over the last couple of days.
Will it make it harder for them to shift the remaining 100 or so tickets?

Was just looking at that...its certainly slowed over the last 24 hours. I would put the few hundred down to the friday evening kickoff....i.e try getting from Cork to Thomond for 7.45 leaving work at 5 on a bank holiday.

Not sure why but I just really don't like them and watching them lose would be the perfect start to my weekend.
Isn't sport odd in how it can bring out these feelings for places and people you've never met?
I know what you mean- I have nothing against Munster as such but I find myself wanting them to lose - I think it's because they seem to get more than their fair share of luck in this competition - last week being a case in point where Sale were denied what would probably have been the killer try because the ref blew his whistle too early ...

Well he said he'd be selected by the Lions.
I didn't think Fraser was involved in that (other than giving away the penalty because the Munster player was holding him place with his knee.

Botha boring in at every scrum. Garces doesn't want to ping the scrum whilst the ball reaches the number 8. George needs to be a little less efficient with the hook and they'll grab some penalties.
Fiesty and error strewn so far.

Botha can't scrum and hasn't been able to since he left Ulster. The guy is a huge liability for Munster.
