Here there are cops in the middle of nowhere. Sometimes they even have these cardboard cut-outs set up in strategic places. Quite spooky.
Apparently we've had the lowest death toll on the roads since 1923. I can't quite believe that though. They must have cooked the stats somehow.

We have a teetotaller. Designated driver. I'm very obsessive about not being in a car with a drunk driver, or being a drunk driver myself. Dates back to an accident I was in when I was sixteen, some guy lost control and smashed into us on the highway, he was drunk and ironically, a cop. Haven't seen out rates this year but I believe they are outrageously high based on nothing but the fact that they are permanently outrageously high.

It's alright mate, all things come to an end. Like a poorly thought out teen marriage. Wasn't there when the sh.it finally hit the fan, but I made a conscious effort to schmooze the guy who's family holiday home we were squatting in just in case people started getting kicked out.
