We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
I know it's not premier league related, but I was just reading that both of Scunthorpes goalkeepers suffered broken arms in today's game.

BBC reported it earlier, think they were both before half time as well. Couldn't ask for worse luck really.

That's pathetic. A professional gamer gets paid to travel the world. Give me even more strength. Christ, lets not forget that none of it is a sport and a professional gamer is just another way of saying I travel the world for events. That's what it is.
I'm a WUM? At least I offer a different opinion to the majority, don't constantly criticize others opinions for being different and by calling them wrong and also have a go at people for having a different opinion to you. If you think then I'm a WUM then check your own boundaries before exploiting mine you.

FL you're clearly ignorant about the subject and despite knowing next to nothing you want to comment on it, give it a rest.

He wouldn't comment at all if that was the criteria for posting on here Hampo.
I fail to accept that someone doesn't know that there are fully fledged gamers who enter tournaments for money and that those tournaments take place in big arenas and in some countries in stadium.

Also stuff like darts or snooker would have very little claim to being a sport as well

Yep that's basically my point gsc.
Call gaming a sport alongside darts and snooker or call none of them one. But either way I don't care. Just be consistent with your stance.

Burnley stay up or if Southampton get 4th? Who gets manager of the season?

Snooker and darts are games and push the limit of classification as a sport.

If people are claiming gaming is a sport it's fair to say they were dropped at birth. Moving on to MOTD

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
The tag line esports has been used to describe the elite or professional gaming competitions, don't think anyone had an issue with that.
Dunno how the topic even came about tbh.
Some dreadful defending on display so far on motd.
Chelsea a bad match up for swansea, not afraid to press them high and aggressively.
Bonys hold up play going to be sorely missed.

Those officials in that Tottenham have to be fires. Disallowing that 3rd goal just is incredible of a new level. Seen an awful official today. Worrying how bad these officials are getting.

Was suggesting only 1 player goal side.
True as the rule is 2 including the goalkeeper but afaik not an issue if you are in your own half...

No luck for falcao today, should have buried that header though.
Good to see Wilson on the score sheet though.

Gayle 18 goals in 19 starts mate.
He is a proper no. 9. Kane has a lot more to his game and can create. But gayle is a finishing machine.

Everyone makes mistakes, not everyone gets theirs replayed and analysed over and over to a national audience.
Its obvious you cant improve the standard to the level where refs are barely noticable, so bring ib technology to make it easier. Are you really telling me the 4th official/extra official couldn't have looked at a replay and changed the decision within 30 seconds in 2015

Alan Pardew doesn't seem so bad all of a sudden. Carver out of his depth and Pulis off the market. Rest of the names dont inspire great confidence

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
Well that could have easily been a draw in the end. Although we took our chances and got the win.(could have wrapped it up earlier if sterling hadn't tried to chip the keeper!). Look to be building up a bit of steam, although our next 2 games are the league cup vs Chelsea which will be a much better indicator of where we are at.
All in all though we are playing slightly better, getting results and Rodgers seems to be making better decisions regarding tactics/line ups.

Wilson has good pace which is getting him opportunities coming off the bench, don't see him as a starter yet but he's a good impact sub when games start to open up a bit, delivered two delightful balls for Falcao today.

I still can't understand how Kane is suddenly scoring goals. Before this year id never seen him play well at this or championship level. Berahino is my favourite and I think he's got the most upside to his game. The power he gets without backlift is so Defoe like you'd think he'd been coaching him like a sensei

Kane was truly abysmal when he was with us, absolutely awful.
I like Gayle and Ings the most personally, but would agree that Berahino has the most upside. Worry about his off the field stuff tho

WHU gone right off the boil, tough fixtures too throughout February & March, can see them dropping out the top 10. As for Hull, just terrible, that line up has championship written all over it.
Hundred quid the hyped Aguero vs Sanchez match up by Sky, ends up a stinker & the game is won by a deflected shot from someone like Clichy or something. Always the way.

Hull were the better side in the first half however they looked clueless in the final 3rd. West Ham have been under par but there infront. Think they will see it out.

Yep, poor keeping and defending but that won't matter to Carroll. He showed last week against Swansea that he can score wonder goals but it's these bread and butter efforts that he needs to get more.
