Thats really stupid from McCloskey. I think thats symptomatic of the cluelessness of our players at the ruck. They wouldn't know how to properly clear a ruck if their lives depended on it.

Ulster might as well bring off a back row forward for Luke Marshall- you'd be hard-pressed to tell McComish was on the pitch to start with.

A solid yellow card IMO, red is unbelievably harsh.

To be fair the way Edinburgh attack has been going it wont make much of a difference.

Always going to be a red. You can't upend someone like that. Personally I think it was lower end, yellow for sure

It's unbelievable watching this Ulster team. Absolutely unbelievable. The level of self sabotage on display is breathtaking.

We need to play territory but Humphreys is a disgrace tonight.

Seriously? I do not like criticising the referee, but the standard recently both internationally and in the club game has been dire.

Lewis Stevenson made more of a nuisance of himself at that Ruck than McComish has in the entire game about time we got Ross on surely, he might or might not be better but he can't be worse.

Thank god, we've finally been put out of our misery. Humphreys is off! If Edinburgh manage to score again I don't think we can do anything, we look aimless and rudderless out there. Unfortunately it looks like they need it to be in front of the posts or via a try.

Not a good call to kick that, shame as normally Heathcote very reliable

And there is yet another Ulster penalty. We're going to end up going down to 13 if we're not careful.

Why are we constantly going for the posts, Heathcote is having a mare with the boot and we have a man advantage.

If the kicking was working then great, but it's not.

Another penalty. I think we want to lose this game. I honestly do.

Surely the ball was available there? Ulster are dire at the breakdown, but Hodges is having a shocker.

All Edinburgh need to do to win this is stay in our 22 and wait for us to give away penalty after penalty.

I can only assume Solly has a soft spot for Ulster, the man didn't even know he had a bench for most of the season, now he's brought on Hilterbrand when Cochrane was on form, Strauss when we have advantage in midfield and Blake, and he must have drugged Heathcote or changed his boots for 3x sizes too small.

That may have cost them the game!
