Yes, there were a fair few on here who said that Suarez never scored against the big sides. His record in big games was brought up often.

Watching this game must make me some kind of sado-masochist.
Has any player ever mastered a nutmeg like he has?
Of the four big money signings in Spain, Neymar, Rodriguez, Bale and Suarez, it looks like Suarez is the best money's worth as an individual. I'm expecting Neymar and James to get better though. Bale is a bit of an enigma.

No, watching Mario Balotelli or Rickie Lambert does that.

Fortunately Rodgers seems to have totally given up on Balotelli, he's been mysteriously missing from the last few squads and I have no problem with Ricky Lambert as a back-up option.

Some hope for PSG.
But they still have to score 3 times and win by at least 2 goals in Barca

PSG are done for sure.
Think the Champions League is between Barca and Madrid now. Bayern might not even get out of this round, if they do, they seem to have far too many issues. If they get a totally fit squad that might change though. Can't see Monaco, Juventus or Porto winning it but wouldn't be incomparable to Porto in 2004, Liverpool in 2005 and Chelsea in 2012.

Juve have the potential to be the surprise package. Get a decent Italian defence job on Messi or Ronaldo and I don't see either of their back fours wanting Tevez buzzing around them

Yeah you can never count out Benitez's side in European competition, probably one of the best coaches at it ever. He's won with three decent sides (2x Europa and 1x Champions League) and could make four this year, although he'll probably leave at the end of it.
Big problem with Benitez is that he's so clearly still in love with Liverpool, pretty sure he's still got a house there.

Apparently Bayern's entire medical staff has quit after Guardiola blamed them for the loss against Porto.

At barca they love a jabber so Pep is probably used to that.. This medical team are quite prudent and dont like over jabbing. The same doctor walked out on Klinsmann and only returned once he left .

Always someone else's fault when it comes to Pep. Bayern need to wake up & realise it's not a medical issue, it's the fact they have an ageing squad now prone to injuries with Lahm, Alonso, Robben & Ribery. As for Schweinsteiger, I haven't seen him play five games in a row for years. Be amazed if Khedira & Reus are not signed this summer.

Unsurprisingly this isn't a new thing between them. Here's his reaction when Benatia got injured against Leverkusen.

I suppose the Bayern medical team play fair so for a Spaniard it feels like an uneven playing field.

Lose out to Porto & would that be sackable? I'm hearing sections of Bayern's hardcore calling for a return of Jupp Heynckes

From what i've heard and admittedly it is very little but the Bayern fans and the Bayern stalwarts haven't taken to Guardiola or his style of football, it's very un-German.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Pep arrive at Citeh over the summer considering he knows the board for the most part with Txiri & Soriano there

Well that was short lived, Bayern 3-0 up already. Basically the decision to not send Neuer off last week, has saved Bayern massively

Think Bayern have shown a seventh gear that other teams don't have. But with their injury list... not sure they can take the truly elite

Don't think Neuer's sending off would have mattered. When Bayern play like this... All hell generally breaks loose.

Also, Pep will almost certainly still be next season. He won the battle against the team doctor for a reason. If the powers that be didn't want him there, they wouldn't have accepted the management team's resignation. The higher ups picked a side and it was Pep. Reckon at this stage Pép leaves when Pep wants to leave.

Excellent performance from FC Bayern tonight, really went through the gears. The dream FC Bayern - FC Barcelona final is still on the cards.

Its hard to think one of Juventus or Monaco will be in the Champions League semi-final. Not that either of them are bad teams, just they aren't in the same league as Bayern/Barca/Real/Atletico really. But, if they deserve to be there, then there is no argument against that though is there I suppose.

Juventus are a superb team. Tearing up Italy, with a squad comprised of Buffon, Pirlo, Chilleini, Pogba, Tevez, and Llorente.
10/1 to win the Champions League is an absolute dream.

In other news the top 7 country coefficient league's winners will be in pot 1 next year along with the CL winner. So Real Madrid/Porto & Arsenal heading for pot 2

Haven't really read into this, sounds like a way to spice the groups up. Does that mean Zenit St Petersburg will be no.1 seeds?

I assume this was done to stop counties getting three or four teams in the final 16? Still, only Bayern and Chelsea represent a genuine problem... wouldn't mind drawing the other lot if I'm honest

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has been charged by Uefa after wearing a T-shirt demanding justice for a reporter who died at the 2014 World Cup.
He displayed the "#JusticiaParaTopo" slogan at a news conference on the eve of Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final win over Porto.
European football's governing body has charged the Spaniard over an "incident of a non-sporting nature".
