You switched it over to Wi-Fi mode and then somehow it stalled, is that right?
Was the problem easy to fix?

switched off the network mode, and the wifi went with it. Phone switched off before I could switch on the Wifi again.

Very easy apparently, just had to wipe everything off my phone.
