I like Nick, but he has some bad habits. Hopefully he knows I think he's alright so I wouldnt do anything to just pee him off.
I think my time working in secondary school and now primary school this past year has made me see Nick as a pupil

Getting a bit tiresome this so called campaign against Chelsea, there must be a campaign against Man United too as we've only had 2 penalties also I believe. The truth however is that referees are swayed by reputation and unfortunately we alongside Chelsea have the players with the worst reputation. Looking at a foul on say Hazard/Costa or Young/Januzaj/Di Maria with a slightly obscured view, a referee is more likely to wave it off than if it was say Giroud, Welbeck, Coutinho or Sterling.

I think the club should be charged with bringing the game into disrepute. They got so much against us they didnt deserve and I'm convinced its because the refs are scared of Jose

Our lack of penalties is due to lack of play in opponents penalty area.
When we got loads we were in there all the time.
Chelsea are going to struggle to get penalties when their main man in the area is more concerned about fighting opponents than the ball!

They should without doubt, Fergie and Wenger were always more subtle with their criticisms and i'm going to say it Mourinho loving the media attention does affect his teams in the long term.
To me a proper manager will criticise his players for blatant cheating and Fergie did it multiple times with Young, even if it's just for show it at least makes it seem as though it's not part of the clubs culture. With Chelsea however it's win at all costs and that is why you have to respect Wenger, despite all the criticisms he's held firm to his beliefs of winning the right way and I can't say Arsenal have ever had a divers reputation. Overmars was pretty bad to start with but that was quickly resolved.

Don't really care about diving but Ferguson was on a whole different level to Jose on manipulating referees

Short memory, they were notorious for it.
They also were experts at professional fouls on the half way line, preventing breaks, sharing fouls out amongst them.
Wengers successful arsenal sides were one of the most cynical sides you will ever have seen, with a terrible disciplinary record.
He's become a lovable loser, but he was disliked as much as any manager ever with all his I didn't see it nonsense.

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
Sterling has apparently asked for contract talks to be stopped until the end of the season. A few stories are saying he's asking for £150k a week which if true I'd show the kid the door, he's just holding the club to ransom.
Good player but his end product is frustrating, and I'd have no problems with Ibe being his replacement.

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
It's just posturing, the agent is just trying to drum up interest, show that a Manchester City or a Chelsea would pay him more than Liverpool are offering to prove his worth and then they'll compromise in the summer.
Whilst he's not worth £150k right now, in five years he very well might be, I don't blame his agent for trying to get him the best deal, but I think he also knows his development will be best served at Liverpool.

Sterling has really achieved nothing in the game to be paid such an amount.
If Liverpool offer that he'll be looking 250k in 2 or 3 years time.

Off out soon to knock the frost off a couple of cold ones. Big session ahead, big day of rugby.
Also hoping Villa can keep the good form up.
Enjoy the weekend folks.
If your having a pint. Hit it hard. Its the only way.
Peace.

Two bets this afternoon.
Giroud to score Arsenal to win 5/1
Giroud or Sanchez to score 17/5
equivalent of £50 each, could make £520. Come on you Gunners!

was watching sky sports, whole panel agreed he's off in the summer, no need to wait until then to agree deal, he want's to leave. rumours that sterling will go to city & then liverpool will replace sterling with Walcott.
for me, sterling isnt actually that great. technically not sound, great pace but his finishing is dire, scuffs everything & has no real composure.

Sounds like a typical English winger since Beckham, how many have there been now; Wright-Phillips, Lennon, Sterling and Routledge, missing a few as well.

God's cruel joke on John continues Giroud 8 goals in six matches against Newcastle. Arsenal looking very free flowing against Newcastle.
