The latter technique is what caused Ford and Gray problems.
Kick them in the back. Not dangerous.

Perhaps the appeal process should claim that Ford and Gray were obviously mistaken for Boris Johnson

I'm amazed by the bans...
Gray makes sense as he's lifted the leg up and around, but then i've seen 2/3 of these per game this tourny.
Ford must be gutted, he's text book cleared a man out however Gray lifting the leg over has hindered Fords actions.
I can't beleive both have been banned, it's ridiculous.

Re: QF4: Australia v Scotland, 18 October
You can just surmise as to how this citation hearing went:-
Mr Cockroach Quinlan QC: "Right wheel the guilty besterds in. And you say this Gray and Ford are from Scotland Mr Nonentity Nowland ? They are not a top 8 team. Hmm... this is totally different from poor Mr O'Brien, where that Frenchie ran into his fist with his ribs in the 4 minute. A complete accident and not at all a deliberate attempt to injure an opponent and Mr O'Brien is from Dublin D4 and we all know what that means. OK I'm going to be lenient and commute the death sentence on Gray and Ford and ruin any chance the bullying Scots have of beating plucky little Ozzieland and ban them forever. Whats that I can't ban them forever ? Well lets make sure they never darken a world cup again and mess up their careers. 3 week ban should do it nicely.
Now then a spot of pheasant for lunch washed down with a nice claret - all courtesy of those nice World Rugby chaps"

Good news folks - Alex Dunbar is back for Glasgow so when we make the final he should be fit if we need an injury replacement!

After an ACL injury you are never "fit" again mate. I seriously hope he makes a full recovery. Sy Taylor was never the same player after his injury.

To be fair, he’s had a world leading expert and the best professional sports care in the business to aid his recovery.
You (probably) had the NHS!

A very good pack to be honest. Horne I don't think is insane as we might think. The Welsh hammered away at that Ozzie line and called no joy even with a 2 man advantage.
If Horne is capable of magic as I think he can be he really needs to conjure up something special.

Scott has been dropped completely, so all faith is placed in Horne, seems like a massive gamble.
Granted, Scott had a bit of a 'mare against Samoa, but so did quite a few players.
Horne may very well step up and show what he can do, but seems like a big ask considering he's not shown it so far.

I would have started Visser too TBH. That Ozzie backline is likely to score tries whoever we have defending. Might as well try and score some tries ourselves.

Re: QF4: Australia v Scotland, 18 October
Scott has looked good in patches but has been very inconsistent, let's be honest. Would be daft to deny there should be real continuity and fluency in an all Glasgow 10-15. We aren't going to win by kicking penalties - we're going to have to score tries - and we've picked our best footballing backline to do it.
Lamont is there to bring on if Kuridrani is squishing everyone in midfield. Vernon is an interesting selection and provides back row and midfield cover. If Russell gets injured, then it's Laidlaw to 10.
Love the double openside flankers. We're in it for a fight, gentlemen.

He has been poor since coming back, running out the line, not making much progress - tackling like a Visser

All in all - I am happy with that team
Enough to win?> Not sure - but if we play well - we certainly can do
Will be interesting to see how our pack gets on - the Ozzie pack has been winning the scrums - but I am not sure if that is because Wales (Injuries) and England (Out of form) have been very weak
Fingers crossed we can put them on the back foot
