First topic message reminder :

A booze-pilfering drunken feral pig has caused chaos by running amok at an Australian campsite and starting a fight with a cow.

The belligerent porker went on a drunken bender after stealing and drinking three six-packs of beer that had been left out by campers at the DeGrey River campsite in Port Hedland, Australia.

In the predictable series of events that followed the animal went on to ransack rubbish bin bags to find some late-night snacks before starting a fight with an innocent eyewitness cow.

Following the boarish rampage the pig decided to swim out into the middle of a river before collapsing drunk under a tree and falling asleep.

One camper named Merida recounted the tale to the ABC network: "It was in the middle of the night and it was these people camping opposite us and they heard this crunching of the can and they got their torch out and shone it on the pig and there he was scrunching away at their cans."

"Then he went and raided their rubbish that they had sort of covered over with a bin as well.

"And then there was some other people camped right on the river and they saw him running around their vehicle being chased by a cow.

"It was going around and around and then it went into the river and swam across to the middle of the river.

"The people that were camped on the river went across and crept up on it and it was hiding and sleeping under a big log right on the edge of the water."

"It was sort of coming from there for a couple of days but we didn't see it this morning or last night."

Rick, Re: the woman who got sacked on Friday - I wasn't there, just heard about it from the Minibus driver. She was drunk by the time the Christmas dinner had started and started cussing the people on her table (audibly but under her breath) and the next which included the director of HR and her direct boss the director of Finance, the CEO of the UK. Basically the three of the four most powerful people in the UK arm of the business. Then she started walking around the tables and filling up her glass when everyone was seated and the Director of HR was giving her annual speech. She asked the supervisor who the F*ck he thought he was when he tried to escort her out. Then the minibus driver escorted her to the toilets where she promptly sh*t herself but didn't tell anyone. So the Minibus driver drove her home in her personal car and was followed home by the woman's colleagues in a taxi on order from the Finance director (because they were worried about the driver). She didn't realise that and abused her colleagues loudly and only increased in loudness when she saw they'd followed her home. Then they paid the taxis for all the people the minibus driver was supposed to take home.

I was once at a Christmas do for a large bank, and was at a table with some fairly senior folk, and a drunken chap proceeded to sit down, and enquire quite matter of factly whether we held the toilet door closed when we cracked one off in our lunch time, along with actions and description.

He didn't last that long either.

It means to have the first post of the day, the etymology is not exactly clear, maybe one of my fellow cuppers can explain, but I think it came from a typo, though it could equally have been on purpose also.

It used to be tradition for the first person to post on any given day to include "First" at the end of their post. Someone, I think Galted, got a little excited one day and typed "Fist" and a legend was born. It was soon followed by "Sicond".

Rick - Christmas will involve being at home with the family and trying to avoid seeing the in-laws.

I'll be in Dundee to see in the New Year though!

Very good, Super, though also very annoying as I spent a very long while typing out the following:
"I can answer this one, I once chanced upon the board when no-one had posted that day and in my haste and excitement to type in the customary "first" I mistakenly typed in "fist".
It was, as with most typos, noticed before I could edit it but luckily it was soon forgotten and I was not subjected to ridicule or reminded of it forever."
