First topic message reminder :
He said you were “PIG IGNORANT”. I’ve heard of hard of hearing before but not hard of reading.

As much as I agree with you that much of the reason for the Leave vote was the racism and pig-ignorance of the likes of Lionsv2 and old people, I'm not sure the questions you're asking are particularly relevant. I'd quite like a cut in local crime but couldn't name a single local criminal.
I beg your pardon?
No doubt the mods will do nothing about that.

If we're sacking cabinet members for 'misleading and inaccurate' statements then BawJaws and Davis can follow.

Yep - absolutely right. Idiots should be challenged in debate rather than always being ignored - and the University creed of follow the leader and protesting against the idiots speaking is another form of manipulation.Duty281 wrote:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-42481329

While we are at it a few more things should be out in the open too. Like funding for political parties and campaigns.

No surprise to see this is #fakenews.
From actually looking into it, I see the leader of the Royal Borough has listed the wide-ranging measures that his borough have provided for the area's homeless (including emergency shelters, mental health services and support services), before listing safety concerns that arise from what he calls 'aggressive beggars' (or professionals, to be more apt). He reiterates that the same services have been rejected when offered to these same people.

Think of all the help you could give all those homeless people if you used the public money that's going towards this farce of a wedding.

She hasn't conceded on everything. In fact the EU had to make compromises, too. No permanent ECJ role for example, a much lower payment settlement and they tried to bounce the UK into an unfavourable arrangement on the Irish border - but didn't succeed.
OK, the DUP may have needed to give her a reminder on the last one, but Varadkar was overreaching so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt.

It's not all it's cracked up to be. Lots of maintenance work and archiving complaints.
Much better to be a free 'member'.
GB should have tried to stay in the EU though. That's a different kettle of fish.

I was an SNP voter all my adult life but they became too focused on Independence while everything else has turned to Poopie around them. And theres only so much you can blame on Westminster.
I’ll always support an independent Scotland but now isnt the time. If there was another referendum tomorrow I would vote No. We’ll see how much of a disaster Brexit is because I reckon a Scotland independent from the UK but a member of the EU would be a huge boon.

As predicted, a vote for Brexit has made little impact on the Scottish discussion.

Re: Political round up.............
Eh I think you'll find the opinion polls showing changes once the Brexit deal is finalised and we get the Hard Brexit that is imminent.
At present people are holding out for that slim hope that it will not be a Hard Brexit or that Scotland will somehow be allowed to stay in the single market. Not happening - that is when the **** hits the fan and polls will change.
I do see what Samo says. I'd also wait before going for another referendum however Scotland's hand has been forced somewhat. If Scotland's SNP government don't call for a referendum after Scotland had voted to remain in Europe then have to leave with a hard Brexit and not remaining in the single market then it sets a precedence for the future does it not? Westminster will point out that if Scotland does not call for a referendum in those extreme circumstances then why should it be granted one anytime in the future?
And the SNP are not running out of time. In my opinion they should take all the time they want before calling for a referendum. There is no timescale for having to call one.

No other country has had business develop around full access then had it taken away overnight. There's one thing having a border and all feasible business being conducted and designed around that and quite another having developed as if it's the same country then losing access and the feasibility changing.
Re: Political round up.............
Originally I was anti-Brexit and still am to an extent as it makes no sense at all. If it leads to the downfall of the UK (like Scotland going independent or a united Ireland) then I guess it will be worth it. I doubt either will happen though

No I wouldn't call it speculation - just common sense. The political picture changes with opinions when major incidents happen. At present there is nothing concrete/major that has happened. The Brexit deal being finalized is one of those major incidents I speak of so it is when that is done then the opinion polls show no real change is the time to start judging the polls.
