Re: England - Summer Tour to South Africa
This just about sums up yesterday's performance.https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/rugby/rugby-news/pat-lam-reveals-how-embraced-1614490
We can't fight our way out of a wet paper bag at the moment. I know the baabaas had great players but by the sounds of it they were still hungover!

Re: England - Summer Tour to South Africa
A few things I want out of the summer:
Was the 6N a blip or a trend?
Can we develop a class BR?
Does EJ know anything about the modern tackle/ruck area?
Well, we lost so the jury’s out on the first.
On the 2nd - just when Curry looked like a good addition, Robshaw was the worst player on the field. And Billy still has to prove he can stay fit. ‘He gives with one hand and taketh with the other’.
And frankly, probably not.
Fortunately a BaBas game is not the place to be too judgemental, altho’ any side that ships 63 points got spanked. EJ has a lot to prove this June.

7.5, I have to ask, where do England rank these days?

I'd rate them as the best in the world.

Re: England - Summer Tour to South Africa
The RFU do big this game up to sell more tickets, but it's just a throw about. England beat Barbarians 73-12 in 2015 and got knocked out in the World Cup group stage 3 months later. Not too fussed about this game if we bounce back next month. If we get a series win in South Africa, no-one will care about this match.
If we lose the series after the Six Nations we've just had, the knives will be out anyway, and people will have bigger sticks than the Barbarians fixture to beat this England team with.

Re: England - Summer Tour to South Africa
It does seem strange that we have gone from 'hero to zero' so quickly with pretty much the same team.
Lets see what happens in SA

Re: England - Summer Tour to South Africa
Poor result really....however its pointless judging the SA tour on this game.
Lots of players to come back in, and a couple from yesterday who are worth more gametime.
However they need to sort that defence out
