I would imagine that most of the first uses of the Guttenberg press were to spread religious dogma and royal propaganda at first, similar, the Marconi radio.
Yeah, but the message took ages to percolate through the land. Now it's instant.
I did a naughty thing late yesterday/early today so I guess I'm guilty of a minor indiscretion myself.
The final 'defects' list at Chez Joey is now only down to about 8 items... out of 78. I've been getting a lot done but as always there's a few annoying bits of debris left over. I decided to rip out the old tiles on the verandah and front steps... chiselled it all away. That produced about 1 tonne of rubble though. Just when the whole place was perfectly tidy and looked so great.
I started sneaking in bits of it into the "general household waste" bin... about 75 kg at a time. So that would take about 12 weeks. Last week, I sneaked a bit more in and got away with it. However early this morning I got 3 red stickers and the council refused to empty. Fair enough.
I felt pretty guilty about doing it. If they call I'll apologise and tell them it was properly disposed of this morning. Had to get 3 blokes and truck.
About 45 minutes work; and around £140 for the convenience. Would've paid more.

I had visions then of a scene from "Porridge" whereby Fletch explains to McKay, that they got rid of all the dirt from the tunnels, by digging a hole and putting it all in there.

They also smuggled dirt in their trousers from digging tunnels in Stalag 17.
Scattered it around the 'volleyball court' from memory... casually walking and whistling at the same time.

Is it easy to get your mouth around the New York Stack, rick? Or would it be?
Some of these burgers have way too many layers for my liking.
I had a perfect burger today though and some nice fish from way out in the Tasman... according to Nick. He was so proud of it. I believe him.

I once had to resort to a knife and fork for one of those skewered ones. Didn't feel right. The various parts bled everywhere. It tasted great though.
