I'm glad we're on the same page. It looks really elegant reflected on the water. Society, in general, needs more of this type of facility.

Inside was a bit different
But I agree, in principle there is a lot of space there that could be used like this on non-tidal rivers and lakes. I genuinely wonder why it didn't catch on more.

Could do with some of them in Oz. Surprised it hasn't caught on given our obsession with living 'on the water'... or being as close to it as possible.
The Floatel fits the brief perfectly.
Point taken about the inside.
Certain venues do age poorly, however if you had to start from scratch today... you could do something really 'of the times'.

I agree, PJ, with the new materials available as well, something truly stunning could be done, and Ground floor rooms could be at a premium for a change...
Yep, spot on. Starts at 20:45, then 15 minute break, then Endgame.

Then a bit of a nap... then wake up, then some breakfast... then off to the racecourse. Fully dressed of course.
Is this the start of your Spring racing season or is it already underway?

Start (ish) of the Flat racing season, it officially kicks of at Doncaster, at the Lincoln festival, but the crowds are a bit much for that, so we go to the one straight after it, at the same course.
It is only £35 for Premier tickets which means you have a good bar, and are in cover etc. which is pretty good.

Finally got round to watching Infinity War. It's very good and I look forward to seeing Endgame about 3 years from now.

I wouldn't worry about spoilers Rick. I can never remember which of these films I've seen and what happened in any of them, so spoilers are largely redundant.

Galted's going to be furious when he discovers that I'm refusing to go to Reykjavik in August.
Mrs Superfly is planning to run the marathon with her friend and they are looking for me and her friend's husband to tag along to support. I'm refusing on the grounds that her friend's husband is a bell-end and I can't stand him. Fair to say that there's a certain amount of tension at home.

It is a perfectly valid excuse, just ask her to wear a go-pro, and a headset, and you can cheer her all the way around.

I have no problem with anyone de-michaelsing themselves as long as they use a fist to do so.

I played tennis and won, which is quite unusual these days.
Saw Endgame on Thursday. Good, but not great.
Did you end up with champagne or shirtless at the races?

Well done, I am rubbish at tennis, though pretty decent at Badminton, and bang average at squash.
I though it was great, 1 major gripe, and a couple of minor ones, but nothing I am going into here for obvious reasons.
Shirtless, I won nowt... The old man did, the missus did, and my friend did, but not me. Though I didn't have to buy a drink after the racing, which was nice.

I was going to pop on early and fist, but I decided to leave it for Galted in case he was injured. They get a bit shirty themselves if you don't follow etiquette.
Just back from a week in New Zealand. Gorgeous country, particularly the South Island, although I mainly just went to spots they used for filming Lord of the Rings.
