Morning Ricko.
I hope that wasn't Jeff running onto to the field at St Andrews on the weekend. He could've waited for the goal, yeah?

I wouldn't imagine Jeff as someone who would run anywhere TBH.
Football was good this weekend, for my team anyhoo.
Do you keep an eye on any English, football teams, Peej?

Yes, an eye. No more; no less.
Lots of sport constantly on, isn't there? I watch some matches... but nowhere near as much as I used to.

Here is more like England.
Just had storm Freya, and getting Storm Gerard. Though I am not sure a bit of wind and rain needs naming.

I saw the weather map... you get those sweeping wet cold fronts that curl up into Denmark eventually and form an intense low over there.
Looks like you guys cop the brunt of it though when it's in the build up phase.
I don't mind the names but some are a bit odd I agree.

We get the odd bin blown over here, and some minor flooding, but that is about it, feels a bit overkill to name it.

Yeah... should be at least a Category 5; otherwise we could run out of names in the future.

The Saffir-Simpson scale... now that's a proper name to call something.

Agreed, I mean, Gareth (not Gerard) doesn't sound that threatening, though the inevitable "Blow" and "Wet" jokes from Gareth's I know, will mean it is really not worth it.
I don't reckon there will be a storm named after my real name, so all good.

Although ironically there was a Storm Dagless in 1998.

Already had one named after me.
There's also a mountain in NZ called Mt Blackburn... which has my name as its nickname - with a mean and unfair connotation attached.

Re: Music Section Morning Tea Society
I saw a few minutes of a Copa Libertadores match recently played in torrential rain.
Much the same. All the passes had to be weighted like you've never seen before.
The ball would just land dead still when lobbed or chipped in the air.
The passing was superb with the ball just planing along the water... fantastic skills to watch.
Don't know who won though. I just caught a glimpse of it.

Disappointed in the site; cannot believe there’s no Michael Jackson thread currently. It feels like we’d have once had a raging debate going where Duty is adamantly defending Jackson and claiming a huge amount of knowledge on it all.

I think Secretfly is more likely to be the one defending Jackson and claiming that its all part of a master lizard race conspiracy.
Duty would probably just deny he'd ever heard of Jackson and claim he only listens to Benjamin Britten, Ralph Vaughan Williams and maybe a little bit Elgar's Nimrod if he's feeling particularly proud to be English. In reality, he's a massive George Ezra fan and cried when Zane left One Direction.

I'm on a Jackson thread on Prince.org - it's up to 48 pages!
http://prince.org/msg/8/457913?&pg=48
There are a few nutjob Jacko apologists on there. The best one is Free2BMe who accuses anyone who thinks Jacko is a diddler of being a diddler themselves (it's all part of our fantasies, apparently).

Re: Music Section Morning Tea Society
Just had the beginnings of a breakdown with Ladbrokes customer service. Changed person I was talking to four times, mid-conversation each time, thus I kept sending messages that had no context to new people.
Here it is attached below as I’m hoping to send the longest ever CC (and all forms thereof) post:
Please see your chat transcript below:
Jade (11:18:46 PM):Hi Chris, welcome to Ladbrokes Customer Support. You're speaking to Jade. How may I help you today?
Me (11:19:29 PM):Hiya. I’ve received the email about a £5 free bet for St Paddy’s day, just wanted to check whether my bet I’ve already had today qualifies
Jade (11:19:59 PM):Hello there Chris.
Jade (11:20:12 PM):Could you please give me the exact name of the promotion you are referring to?
Me (11:21:02 PM):I don’t know if it has a name. I can copy and paste the whole email though, if that helps?
Mark (11:21:43 PM):Hi Chris, welcome to Ladbrokes Customer Support. You're speaking to Mark. How may I help you today?
Me (11:21:48 PM):Hi Chris,
Top o’the mornin’ to ya Chris.
It’s St Patrick’s Day at Cheltenham, and you can saddle up to seven more epic races in fine fettle.
Get a £5 Free Bet for Cheltenham when you bet £5+ on any horse racing market.
Whether you’re backing Paisley Park in the Stayers’ Hurdle, or Footpad in the Ryanair, you’ll be ahead of the chasing pack with this…
A-neigh-zing!
Mark (11:22:20 PM):Hello there Chris! Good afternoon!
Me (11:22:22 PM):Oh, I’m speaking to someone else now, that chunk of text has no context
Mark (11:22:30 PM):I hope all is well. Happy festival week!
Me (11:22:49 PM):Same to you too, can o it imagine yours is hectic!
Mark (11:22:54 PM):I understand Chris. No worries, I'll be glad to check this for you.
Me (11:23:11 PM):Do you have the messages from the chat I was in a minute ago?
Mark (11:23:16 PM):For me to be able to properly assist you, may I ask for a screenshot of the SMS or email you received?
Your file has been successfully uploaded to the agent.
Mark (11:24:36 PM):Thank you for that Chris. That is very much appreciated.
Mark (11:25:05 PM):Kindly allow me 3-5 minutes to pull up and review your account and the screenshot you've sent to further assist you and I'll be right back with you.
Noraina (11:26:33 PM):Hi Chris, welcome to Ladbrokes Customer Support. You're speaking to Noraina. How may I help you today?
Me (11:26:57 PM):I was just talking to someone else who was looking into a query for me and it’s refreshed
Noraina (11:27:38 PM):Hi there Chris! I'm sorry to hear that your previous conversation got disconnected. May I know how can I help you?
Me (11:28:02 PM):I got sent an email with a promotion and I’d like to check if my bet has qualified for it
Me (11:28:36 PM):WOUKD you like a screenshot of the email?
Me (11:29:13 PM):Would*
Noraina (11:29:28 PM):That would be great.
Your file has been successfully uploaded to the agent.
Noraina (11:29:41 PM):I sent you a file transfer request.
Noraina (11:30:02 PM):Thank you. Let me check the screenshot. Hold on please.
Me (11:30:29 PM):I’ve placed a bet already today and I’m just checking if that qualifies as part of the promotion
Noraina (11:31:09 PM):One moment please.
Noraina (11:33:16 PM):Can you please confirm the bet id?
Me (11:33:32 PM):Is that like a number? Or what the bet was?
Noraina (11:34:03 PM):Yes.
Me (11:34:15 PM):£6.50 on Faugheen
Noraina (11:34:31 PM):Please give me 2-3 minutes while I'm checking.
Noraina (11:36:18 PM):Thank you for your patience waiting. I was able to check on that promotion and that promotion already ended on 17:55 UK Sunday 7th October 2018.
Me (11:37:23 PM):Are you sure? It’s an email received today, which is the St Patrick’s day at Cheltenham
Me (11:37:31 PM):And it’s ok your website
Me (11:37:43 PM):on*
Me (11:38:14 PM):And it references multiple horses running today
Noraina (11:38:26 PM):Can you send me another screenshot showing the exact date for today?
Carlo (11:40:33 PM):Hi Chris, welcome to Ladbrokes Customer Support. You're speaking to Carlo. How may I help you today?
Me (11:40:52 PM):I’d love to, but nothing is dated
Me (11:41:02 PM):Oh it’s refreshed again
Carlo (11:41:10 PM):My apologies for being disconnected from one of my colleagues. I hope you don't mind me stepping in, how can I help you?
Me (11:41:31 PM):You’re the fourth person in the chain, maybe this’ll work.
Me (11:41:56 PM):I got an email today about a promotion you’re running for St Patrick’s day at Cheltenham
Me (11:42:38 PM):I sent the last person a screenshot and they said it was over in October 2018. Which seems dumb, as it references Cheltenham, st paddy’s day and mentions about thee W horses who are running today
Me (11:42:56 PM):Three horses*
Carlo (11:43:27 PM):Oh I see. Let me check on this one for you. One moment please.
Fredy (11:44:22 PM):Hi Chris, welcome to Ladbrokes Customer Support. You're speaking to Fredy. How may I help you today?
Me (11:44:40 PM):Hi Chris,
Top o’the mornin’ to ya Chris.
It’s St Patrick’s Day at Cheltenham, and you can saddle up to seven more epic races in fine fettle.

Whether you’re backing Paisley Park in the Stayers’ Hurdle, or Footpad in the Ryanair, you’ll be ahead of the chasing pack with this…

Me (11:44:56 PM):Oh for goodness sake, it’s changed person again
Me (11:45:26 PM):This is the fifth person. I don’t blame you, I’m not annoyed at you, but my god it’s frustrsting
Fredy (11:45:43 PM):I apologise for the chat disconnection Chris.
Me (11:45:59 PM):So frustrating that I’ve lost the ability to type, apparently
Fredy (11:46:05 PM):We indeed have the offer and if your account is qualified for it.
Me (11:46:37 PM):Can you check if mine is? I’ve had a bet and haven’t got a free bet. I want to know whether I need to bet again. My account is Wilko1304
Me (11:47:13 PM):It does exist though? I got told by another computer person that it ended in October, which was an absurd answer that hurt my brain
Fredy (11:47:22 PM):I have triggered the free bet for your account as you are listed on the qualified players Chris.
Fredy (11:47:28 PM):The £5 free bet is now on the account. It is valid for 7 days and can be used on any sports market. To learn how to use your free bet tokens, please go ahead and check out this link: https://help.ladbrokes.com/s/article/LB-How-to-use-a-Free-Bet-Token
Me (11:47:41 PM):Does the bet I’ve already done mean I’ve qualified? Or must I go again?
Me (11:48:10 PM):Thank you, Fredy I’m so happy this is done. I love you a little bit for saving me from this
Fredy (11:48:36 PM):I am glad to have taken this chat as well as we have resolved the issue.
Fredy (11:48:37 PM):Do you have other concern that we can look into?
Me (11:49:32 PM):Not any that Ladbrokes would pay you anywhere near enough to help me with, Fredy. I’ll save it for the big sofa
Me (11:49:57 PM):Go be free and have what is definitely going to be a busy day. Rest whilst you can
Fredy (11:50:05 PM):Cheers Chris. Have a happy festival! I hope that the free bet will earn you big this time.

Whether you’re backing Paisley Park in the Stayers’ Hurdle, or Footpad in the Ryanair, you’ll be ahead of the chasing pack with this…
A-neigh-zing!
Fredy (11:50:13 PM):Thank you for contacting the Ladbrokes Customer Support team Chris. If you need any further assistance, please click to chat again and we will be happy to help.
Me (11:50:16 PM):We can but dream

I was going to criticise Fredy for only having a single “d” in the name, but Fredy solves the case so I relented.
