I am glad the scots beat the French this weekend, as it sets up the 6 nations nicely, hope Mahler doesn't get too harshly punished for his ball tickling.
Cheltenham Festival this week which I always enjoy, so looking forward to that, off on Friday to watch the Gold Cup (in the pub, not at the course)

Re: Music Section Morning Tea Society
Had a Kiwi mate in the UK who used to do that sort of thing in retaliation (to dirty players) playing rugby league. He used to impersonate the other bloke's wailing (accent included) when he twisted his balls after a tackle. Had me in stitches... or tears whenever he did that first thing Monday mornings at work.
Gold Cup - lucky I googled. Horse race not a Regatta (which it is here) Should be great fun.

Rugby is a weird old sport, with many dark arts, I played much more football, thankfully.
It is a great week of racing, and always culminates in about 20 of us meeting in the pub at dinner to watch and lose money.
Plus my dad always gets excited about it and he phones me in the morning, every day, to give me his tips and for me to give him mine, and we compete to see who wins the most, which is cool. (is is nearly always him)

I do a similar thing with Mum for every Melbourne Cup. She usually picks the winner or 2 out of 3 places. I usually tip the one that goes lame or has to get put down. It's been happening quite a lot in recent years.

On Grand National day, not only do I await my dad's picks before I lay a bet myself, several of my friends also text me and ask what he has picked, it is kind of a mini tradition now.
We tend to do well out of it too, we have probably lost more than won, but everyone only remembers the winners, so all good

Is he in Glasgow or in Milton Keynes still?
I saw something on the news about the coronavirus there but it was probably just a shot of the pathology hospital there.
Hope he's not in lockdown... or Max von Sydow.

I think you're going to get a sternly worded post from Jeeves this evening.
This WFH is great, especially now that the angry Kiwi has calmed down. The Pontipines have invited the Wattingers for a picnic and the trubliphone is ringing!

The Pontipines and the Wattingers are what happens when fundamentalist Christians (note the Puritanical dress sense) refuse to use birth control.
About 18 kids between them and I don't think any of the parents work. Still, the council has saved some money by putting each family into their own one bedroom semi-detached house.

I've just heard an expert on globalisation and development from Oxford mention the concept of Peak Supply Chain Fragmentation. It rolled off the tongue so easily. He may or may not have a point.

Re: Music Section Morning Tea Society
Yeah, more automation I suspect.
Need to be careful though.
Some multi winning horse trainer here used to chew the grass in his stables all the time. It was his trademark you might say.
He then caught some nasty equine virus and that was the end of him. I think bat droppings may have played a part in it somewhere as well.

Horse bats are the worst.
TBH I spent much of my youth around and riding horses, and I am still here, though I never chewed stable grass, so that may be why.

Re: Music Section Morning Tea Society
Horses are a bit of a sore point with me at the moment as my horse in RDR2 got knocked over and killed by a train yesterday. I was out shooting critters in the swamp and realised it wasn't with me. Rushed off to find the c*nt and saw him standing on the lines and could hear a train approaching. Whistled madly but he just stood there and I watched in horror as he got wiped out.
Story did have a happy ending though, some chap passed by soon afterwards, once he'd greeted me I shot him and nicked his horse.

Still standing (or sitting to be precise) too, Fly. I did sneeze this morning but that's nothing out of the ordinary for me.

Just had to abandon saving Sadie Adler from the O'Driscoll gang to pick my kid up from nursery. Ungrateful little c*nt couldn't even be arsed to acknowledge me.
