Morning people.
Solihull remains civilised. Had a nice game of recreational tennis yesterday afternoon, as approved by the LTA and the Department of Culture (yes, Culture), Media and Sport.
The orgy afterwards with the over-60s ladies squad probably broke the social distancing rules though.

Did you see the worshippers in the streets of Baghdad yesterday going on some commemorative march despite the imposed curfew? Some of their explanations were hilarious. Totally mad idiots.
How is the leg, Jules? Holding up well?

It seems to be happening everywhere, mass prayers to clear the disease, like those bell ends spraying salt water into mouths at church to cure the virus, and, obviously, the use of a single nozzle spread the virus everywhere...

Leg, elbow, shoulder - they're all falling apart, but I'm not worried. Pretty sure Corona will finish me off first.
I read that in Iran more people have died from drinking industrial strength alcohol to ward it off, than have died from the virus itself.

And they let 85,000 prisoners free too. Imagine the bootleg grog market now. Inshallah... then I guess there's little we can do.

How far... Birmingham?
A friend dropped off some spare masks here this morning. Now I can see why Zorro felt indestructible.

Her food is probably better quality than ours so might eat the cat without any fattening and then dive into the Applaws and Purina. I do regularly wake up during the night with her sitting right at my face giving me a good stare so I think you may be correct.

I was watching an Asterix movie on the weekend. I'm not Manu Dibango either.
Just had a nice fish dinner... delizioso!

I used to go to the library when I was young and sit in there and read all the Asterix books, still enjoy them to this day.

Also a big fan of Asterix, and of Tintin. I was less than pleased when Jack c*nting Whitehall got cast as Asterix and when Spielberg made a complete abortion of the Tintin film. Makes me hate people in a SerialDAVE sort of way.

Sorry for the delay in replying .... I was watching another Asterix movie. French version. Think I've seen most of them.

I remember being curious when younger if the name puns worked in various languages.
The weather here is very nice at the moment, Peej, shame we will get stuck in a gulag if we go out.
Good morning, Galts.
Might knock up a quarantine quiz if we get some folk rocking up

Have a French mate who's also a big Asterix fan and we've had many conversations comparing names and puns, seems they're written individually for different languages.

Day off work for Mrs Marx's birthday.
Just been to The Aldi - very quiet in there - while Mrs Marx went to The Waitrose next door. She had to queue up as they were only letting 33 people in at any time (based on floor area).
As an unexpected bonus The Aldi had Limited Edition Coco Orange Shreddies.
Dominoes Pizza later for birthday meal.

Morning all.
Did one of those overnight posts that I thought was really funny... but took it down in your wee hours.
Something about delivering some left over finger food to the noisy kids' grandparents next door and then nearly tripping of the ventilator machine cord on the way out.

I'm doing better than I was initially when I started WFH again last week. I wasn't really prepared for it, in terms of getting a structure/routine in place for the evenings, to ward off anxiety, isolation worries etc. Had a pretty bad few days, mental health-wise. Not so bad the last 2 or 3 days.

Morning chaps.
What's the plans for a weekend stuck indoors?
Me and a few friends are going to cheer ourselves up and do a Google Hangout and all watch Engand's heartbreaking defeat to Romania from Euro 2000. We had planned to do a classic match (Italy v Brazil from Spain '82 was a contender) but it was decided that it would be more heartwarming to watch an England exit from a major tournament and the Romania match is an under appreciated classic of its type.
