JuliusHMarx wrote:I'm doing better than I was initially when I started WFH again last week. I wasn't really prepared for it, in terms of getting a structure/routine in place for the evenings, to ward off anxiety, isolation worries etc. Had a pretty bad few days, mental health-wise. Not so bad the last 2 or 3 days.
Glad to hear you're on the mend. It's a bit like that for everyone I'd imagine. All I try to do is keep things simple... when you get up in the morning try and be positive and think pleasant thoughts. You really are a lucky and talented guy... remember not everyone else is perfect! Look after No. 1 and those close to you.
For some reason I always have a song in my head. Last few days it was "Don't Do Me Like That". Don't know why... I'm not a huge Tom Petty fan. I actually get depressed hearing about his demise*. But that song (mainly the intro) sort of lifts me up and makes me feel good. Hang in there, mate!
- Spoiler:
* ... just like about every other song I like where the person is no longer with us. Have to think of their happy times is the way I deal with it.

Morning Rick. Can't wait until we get to "The Other Side" of this thing.
How are you handling it... all under control I trust?

All good here mate, I have enough reading, entertainment an work to keep me occupied, seeing people talk to each other more now than they did previously.

I'm good thanks mate. Just off a FT with my brother in Singapore. He's always on the ball and sees a lot more things happening re the big picture of things.
Watched a few good movies and documentaries over the weekend interspersed with live news updates on the virus. Things moving quickly in some parts especially. Quite surreal times, yeah?

Trump doesn't seem to be dealing with this well, though I suspect that we are getting more stories about him so the perception is skewed.
I think the novelty is starting to wear off for folk here as the realization kicks in of boredom, but it is indeed very surreal.
Going to catch up with some films today when I am done working, as I am still busy at the moment but can see that waning soon.

Suspect work will get very quiet over Easter period and might take a while to recover. I reckon my place will start to ask for volunteers to work reduced hours soon.

Morning all.
Played Mansions of Madness on Saturday. Does that mean anything to anyone. It didn't mean much to me, but I quite enjoyed it.

All fine up here - most people seem to be behaving. Father-in-law who has chronic asthma finally seems to be taking the threat seriously and is staying in his house.
I've never been more jealous of people who don't have kids.

Not sure how I feel about that. Feels like the police are being overly officious but on the other hand, I'm a big fan of people who think that the rules don't apply to them getting a wake-up call.

Bit of both to be honest, if the police were being consistent, fine. But I agree with your second point.

Enjoy your limited time at the Adsa. Buy a Corona or six on me... the boss won't be watching so you should be pretty safe.

Pretty busy here mate, weather is fairly non descript here.
It is other people moaning which is the most irritating thing TBH.
There seems to be three distinct groups, keep calm and carry on, OMG this is literally the worst thing since time began and it is worse for me than anyone else, and screw this it is a govt hoax by 5g and normal flu kills more people anyway so why can't we go the pub.

Slightly sicond.
How goes it this morning, Ricko? You were up early!
I'm the same... my time clock is out by a few hours. Woke up at 4am for a glass of milk after having had a coronavirus induced nightmare... I think.
(I've been watching too many Watchmen episodes... pretty silly stuff really. That woman is one tough b1tch!)
