Dropping in as I do from time to time... I also read some of the other things on this site without daring to post (though never the golf threads )

Happened to come across super's (rather overdue) review of Basic Instinct on the films section .Apart from reviving certain more youthful memories regarding Ms Stone (who thoughtfully appeared in a number of my dreams around the time that film came out) I found his summary quite uplifting and impressive

I can't wait to read his review of the new slasher movie : Winnie the Pooh : Blood and Honey ...

It was a great review, in the old format as well which was nice to see. Just a shame Superfly died after posting it as he'll never read all our praise.

One of the mums at my kid's school looks like a young Sharon Stone. I'd probably only put her at about number 5 on my school mums to-do list though.

L*l out loud. I'm sure the Stone-alike would be top of many people's lists but I was never really that smitten with the original Stone.

I'm not dead and Alfie's praise has put a spring in my step. I can't really take all the credit for the review though. It's the format that does all the work. It's fool-proof.

I've seen the trailer for that Winnie the Pooh thing and I'm tempted to watch the film. I was thinking of doing a Robin Hood Prince of Thieves review so I can do a rant about Costner attempting to starve those poor forest people by introducing the concept of crop based subsistence farming in a heavily wooded area. They'd have been dead from starvation by Michaelmas.

I thought his old buddy Police Chief turned a blind eye and told him to lie low for a while. I didn't realise he got caught and was sent to jail in '74.
They must have let him out to shoot those later sequels.
