Chris Jack and Brad Thorn will be fine.
Just need a blindside flanker but I will wait.
Watching Mock the Week anyway.

What happens if Pull want Tim Horan. He should get him in theory so perhaps remove him from Bathites name!

Re: Rugby Union Legends Game - Draft
Yes no need to remove just yet.
Pullthestrings has it all to do, if he picks Horan I will just cross Horan off from Bathite and tell him to pick again.

Yes Hooker, Scrum Half and Fly Half.
I see Pullthestrings is online, he best get cracking he is keeping many waiting.
Reuben Thorne played the majority of All Blacks games at flanker, so I think it's acceptable.

I'm out at the moment so won't be able to get my selections in until later. Obviously disappointed about the Sella situation, see it as the same as Umanga. Will go into more later.

Re: Rugby Union Legends Game - Draft
Sella is definitely an outside centre Pullthestrings sorry.
Umaga is a difficult one, he played a lot of times at 13 for New Zealand, but also played 12 and has played 12 this season for the Chiefs.

Re: Rugby Union Legends Game - Draft
I personally think if your picking centers you should pick either 12 or 13 unless they were an out right 12 or 13 like Sella - it's too hard to argue otherwise.
like you have done with Thorne - he was mainly a lock mate
but your the boss bear

Re: Rugby Union Legends Game - Draft
It's hard you have to be strict, but Thorne played most of his games at flanker for New Zealand.
We all know Umaga can play 12 and 13, Sella I have definitely seen enough to warrant him as a 13 if you look on espn scrum he played a lot of matches for France of course but most of them have him playing at 13, with a few at 12.
Hard to decide.

Nick Farr-Jones was taken by Banafan.
Other two are ok though, you need to pick a scrum-half again.
Westhuizen, Gregan, Farr-Jones, Pichot, Howley, Marshall and Dawson all gone.

Mike Philips and his drunken violent ways . . .. lol
there is an up to date list ( I assume bear) at the top of the page showing who has gone . . . so what about this centers thing Bear?? wouldn't it be easier to just allow people to pick a center wether its inside or outside?

Re: Rugby Union Legends Game - Draft
would make life easier and the debate about who played 12 or 13 when in theory most centers could switch if needed!
And in honesty if people are picking they are likely to try and pick a 12 and 13 in turn anyway . . .
just a thought . . .

i am uttelry screwd in teh centers situation - I have an idea of about 10 centers I would like but I can see that being bottom of the pile I am going to need an idea of about 20 decent centers to choose from depending who gets picked !!!!
I don't think I can name 20 decent centers

Re: Rugby Union Legends Game - Draft
Im counting Reuben Thorne as a flanker because that's where he played most of his games for All Blacks.
Sela im counting him as a 13, played a lot of games but if you look yourself 13 crops up plenty of times.
Umaga has played both inside and outside and is a difficult one to decide on.

There's ambiguity in every position Bear, Leonard could ply both sides, Corry was an 8 not a 6. Let sleeping lions lay I say!

Re: Rugby Union Legends Game - Draft
It is hard.
Leonard can play both sides, Corry played enough at 6 to count as one, Umaga has played enough times at 12, Sela though most of time played for France as a 13 you can check the stat line ups to see that.
The only thing I will do, is everyone can pick any centre but I will let you keep Sela and O'Driscoll Pullthestrings.
