First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence

So pull up a chair....what'll it be? appletini

Hi Rava, just a BSc. I'm sick of talking about it already! I just want to get graduation behind me and move on with my life and forget all about it. Family over for lunch on Sunday. Dreading it! I don't like the attention.

Hopefully not Rodders, hopefully not. I'm hoping to get my Masters next year. Now that I will be proud of!

Yeah I am getting the odd shift, still regularly on Saturdays and the odd one during the week. Actually, I blame Antrim Forum for me not getting more! But that's ok. I need a little break, I'm a bit burned out from last year. My brother is flying in tomorrow and I'm going off to Donegal with him and my parents next week OK

Then a few other projects in the pipeline beginning after that... should be a good summer.

I've seen both bands at Wembley in the last couple of years. The Foos as a live band edged it (as Dave Grohl said on the night, it's impossible not to be awesome in front of 88,000+ people)

I have to admit I was never a great fan. Cari's enthusiasm has rubbed off with her links on Fookface. I am enjoying this though.

I used to love U2 when I was younger, then my tastes changed a lot due to life experience etc. I can admire what they do. I mean, some of their stuff is great. Running to Stand Still wouldn't play well in the Stadiums- but it's perfect in it's way. It's absolutely lovely. Then you get something like Elevation Erm

A mole! Digging in a hole!

Now this is a great song. This is the era of U2 I most enjoyed.

I still think Pop is a good album.

Bono pal, the answer to all of your questions is no.

Disgrace that only about a 100 of the crowd knew Jerusalem though.

I mean I object to the song as an instrument of late British imperialism, but if you have an anthem to dislike, it might as well be a good one.

Yeah. I wouldn't listen to it much nowadays, but then I wouldn't listen to U2 that much now.

Kiwi- yeah but Queen were really good! I meant Stadium Rock as a genre, as opposed to bands that played Classic Rock in stadiums. They spawned many inferior imitators.

Queen just amde very good rock songs that would play as well in a pub as in front of thousands. Post U2, bands tried to make rock music for stadiums. Going for that 'epic' quality. Which is 95% of the time tired banality. Trying to write anthems, not rock songs.

Queen just wrote really good rock songs.
