The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

You would. We all know how you like to make rash predictions without substance. Ireland to get out of their Group etc.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Putting people in their places doesn't mean we'll win (But I do think we will)
Dragons to make playoffs in 2011-2012 - oh actually no thats a rash prediction.

Unlike when Eddie played second string sides I bet Deccie has most of these players believing there is still a chance to make the squad and that will show in the performance.
Anyway, there's a thread for this debate. Get over there.

AS - literally it's PEMBROKE . Pembrokeshire is SIR BENFRO - LINK
Dw i'n dod o Aberdaugleddau, Sir Benfro ond dw i'n byw ym Mhentre Eglwys, Rhondda Cynon Taf
(I'm from Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire but I live in Church Village, Rhondda Cynon Taff)
So Sir Benfro Pete would be completely accurate but doesn't scan so well. Hence PenfroPete
Anyway enough of this you old 'Sweaty' - Dw i'n dy garu di (No transaltion required )

Wales assistant coach Rob Howley said: "We are fielding nine of the players who played in the final Six Nations match this year"
I'd keep that quiet, we were terrible against France!

Yeah I thought that Lucky. There's been a few weird quotes. Like the one about Gethin Jenkins being rested so he can work on his match fitness.

Happy that the White Samoan and Toby are in though, with another two Dragons on the bench. That's finally a realistic representation.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
change that to 13 good players, Phillips and Bennett OK?
and you'd be more accurate Glas.

Rev, saw a comment on the Scarlets' forum yesterday that Geth Jenkins had twisted his ankle in training, don't know if that's true or not, but would explain why he isn't playing on Sat.

How do you get match fit ? It is very strange thing to say.

Ah right, well that makes sense Dreamer. It was just the quote that confused me anyway. Though they have mentioned all the other injuries we are carrying (Adam, Hook and Byrne).

I like the back row, Rev. It's interesting that England have gone for a more mobile, athletic back row too. Tom Croft needs an eye kept on him.

I'm afraid I would still have to disagree.
Although I concede that I very much hope Preistland has worked on his defence.

Right. Lucky you of all people should agree that if we are to beat England its by playing like Wales, not worrying too much about them. We have to break this game up, attack off first phase and on the counter and whenever else it's on. We must kick intelligently, relying on quality not quantity of kicks. Most importantly we must do what they least expect and that is shove it up the middle every now and again and roll some mauls. Yes they are big, yes they are strong up front. But if we make our first up tackles and score tries early we'll HAVE THE bar stewards! COME ON!!!

Glas, that's what I was getting at - normally you'd expect England to be fielding a monster pack, but their eight really aren't that big, Simon Shaw apart.

Plus a lot. I am a huge fan. I want a fit, in form and fighting Fla on the plane. Always have done. It would be a massive bonus. Love to see Leamy do well too. He must be hungry and I want him to show the ol Dinny is back in action. I want them all to do well and give Deccie a headache.
Ireland mode now. NO more provincial shoite.
Believe.

I like the backline, sort of. Hope O'Leary has speeded up a bit.
Very experimental pack and one or two might just be playing for 1F's place on the plane if he doesn't make it.
