First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

To be fair, you have to give England some credit for how poor India have been. England got on top early, and have never taken their foot of the Indian throat. India have not been allowed to play by what is a very special England team.

Isn't that a bit unfair in the same series where India allowed England to have their batter come in even though they didn't have to?

Slightly different scenario Munsty. The dismissal of Bell was against the spirit of cricket because of the way it was done. England continuing to bat in order to really drive home their advantage and make sure that they cannot lose the match is not.

I'm resigned to never understanding Test cricket. Is the 20/20 starting up soon?

Hell Fire!

Morse has got v2 stripes now! [note to self : don't mention establishmentisation]

Back to the cricket. This game was over 24 hours ago.

The depth of the Indian humiliation is unplumbable.

And what is worse, there is no way that England can show any charity by declaring. The light would not allow further play.

Hi all. My gawd their was some first class pedantry in here about 'performances' Whistle

In other news I read a good interview with Tom Palmer in the Standard. Apparently he's good mates with Richard Parks, and half the interview was given over to Parks' recent achievements. RP is being paraded at the MS before the game tomorrow. I wasn't aware of that.

Lucky - England have a stronger team this week, but Wales are at home and Gatland has told the players "They must win".

A score in it again, but I can't say which way. I suspect this game will mean more to Wales than England. For us it's giving a hit out for the likes of Tinds, Easter and, especially, Lawes. Plus having a look at the likes of Fourie and Wigglesworth in terms of squad selection.

Not too fussed about it to be honest.

We definitely need the win more. I imagine Martin Johnson would prefer victory in Dublin than in Cardiff, given the choice.

Right folks, enjoy your evenings!

Mmmm. Corona shandy.

Well, tomorrow I will be preparing sheep for the sales coming up in the next few weeks and Sunday I will be on the South Wales ram safari, driving round South Wales having a look at the rams people are selling.

My dad was quite proud today, he got a mention in the Scottish Farmer newspaper. A ram he sold in Scotland won the championship at Aran show for the second year running.

It's no wonder I am not really in Rugby mode.

Anyway, off up em wooden hills.

Cymro - You mean you came to Lootingdon and didn't tell me Very Happy . We had a good mix in the pub where I watched the game in Ealing - good friendly banter. There's a wee Welsh community in there, and I sorted some of them out a good deal for the Dubai 7s. Gerald Davies had a coaching stint at Ealing RFC not too long back. The club display the home nations' proper saints flags in the bar.

Nice to hear you had a good time though. Hopefully we'll have pints in the not too distant future thumbsup

Let's just say that Ebbw Vale won. They were good. I played the last 15, which wasn't bad considering I can never train. We looked like running them close at one point just after halftime.

Really so happy right now. Did well in my exam too.

Tried watching the RL myself, but couldn't see much. Just watching the last Richard Parks doc. Nos da all. Enjoy tomorrow. I have plans, but I can't be bothered letting you know what they are. I know I haven't yet.

If it's brand new, be suspicious. If not... remember London is a very big place with a lot of people in it. I wouldn't worry about it overly. There are, what, 10 million people in London? And only a very small minority were involved in the riots all told. Not impossible, but I wouldn't worry too much,
