The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Having consulted my lawyer, WG, if you buy it in good faith, then you should be ok. But if, subsequently, someone else can prove they have title to the goods then you would lose it (and your money!!). However, they will have to prove title. If the seller can show that they have title to the goods in question, he should be able to show you that he has good title.

They'd have to prove that he knew that the goods were stolen though. Bona fidé purchaser for value without notice or some such phrase. As long as he buys the goods honestly, and without any knowledge that they were stolen, he's fine. I think ...

It's a bit mad alright Glas, I presume he will probably take Ryan off around the 50-60 minute mark, move leamy to the flank and bring Heaslip on at 8

Been up since half 6 watching the ITM Cup. Hawkes Bay got a bonus point win away to Bay of Plenty. Their international stars, Guildford, Dagg and Fotuali'i were the difference.
In the game on now, Manawatu are leading 10-7 against Wellington.

You're a better man than me getting up then. I'm still in my pit and only awake cos I'm starving.
I've recorded both international games off Sky today. Need to check Penfro's guide and see what the crack is with Ireland etc.
Went on the Ebbw Vale board last night for a look to see what they said about the game. They really don't like the Dragons on there (albeit most of the stuff was three years old.

Morning Cari.
I need to check my recording of the SA game today. Not sure if I have the second half because of this red button thing or just a delayed full game. I guess it's the latter if the programme starts at 5ish.
Anyway, have a good day all. Best start getting sorted.

Leamy to 7. He did play there a few times when he was younger for Munster.

Morning all: big sporting weekend for me. Looking forward to a run in a bit followed by a bbq then off to the rugby then another bbq!
Tomorrow; if I had the guts i'd go and cheer on Bristol City but away to Cardiff....I think i'll rely on bbc updates.
Hope all are well looks like it's going to be overcast today so guessing the roof'll be on.

It'd be all right if you don't mind getting called a wurzel b'stard all afternoon. I'm sure there'll be very heavy policing - as bad as the derby I reckon.

Morning all. Lazy morning for me, except when the cat decides otherwise. My laptop seems to have officially died after a few weeks intermittently working, so I'm limited to my phone. Won't be able to watch much rugby but have no excuse for not getting the housework done

Yeah but this is against France and you have a "Scarlets" backline!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
What do you mean by Scarlets backline? I would actually move Heaslip to 7. We haven't played three specialists in the backrow for a number of years. We try to go with three all-rounders.
I'm happy enough, in that we need to give all these players gametime in those positions. We're looking for our fourth lock to be able to cover 6 so we need to see how Ryan steps up to the challenge. We need to see how O'Brien covers 7. I'm happy that we have real quality on the bench in O'Connell and Heaslip if we've misjudged our pack selection.
I think we have quality in the tight five, the backrow is an area of weakness for us with this selection but thats all part of building a squad unfortunately. Obviously the French backrow is very, very strong so if there is an area where they can claim the advantage that is it but I don't feel a sense of impending doom. I'm reasonably optimistic.

Oh, sorry. I thought you said backrow not backline. I read that wrong.
I don't know though. If you wanted to look at it another way you could say we have a conservative 10, a defensive fullback and two astute tactical kickers in Wallace and Fitzgerald. Not that we want to be conservative, I think, but we could play that way. The questions people are asking are concerning defence. Obviously we have a fairly small centre partnership and Ronan 'Braveheart' O'Gara. I'm not too worried about that as I have seen Wallace and Earls take down bigger guys before. The may be able to make some yards on the crash ball but we've become very adept at messing up possession... I'd prefer to defend that than to see them stretch us out wide to some extent.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Heh. Hopefully not!
I just want to see us scoring a few tries, or at the very least hanging onto the ball and creating opportunities, doing the basics well, a solid set piece and good retention of possession.
If we do that, we'll have a chance. Expecting a few more errors from both sides. A lot of guys getting their first hit out this season.
