Have your eyes gotten so bad that you need him to remind you how old you are?
That's not actually his real age, it's just that the counter doesn't go into triple figures.

Ok not many put their real age on these sites. Not sure about your nicknames for the Utd bunch though.

Re: Premier League Discussion Thread
If Liverpool get Sebastian Coates and/or Scott Dann [I like that he's a former Anfield season ticket holder], release some more of the deadwood (Deggen!?!?!), I'll consider this transfer window to have been a success. We seem to have over 30 players listed on our 1st team squad which looks excessive IMHO.
Especially with the Arsenal floundering and not sure what thinking's behind Spurs, Chelsea and Man City's moves: Spurs seems frozen, Chelsea doing little and Man City seem to be buying randomly, like a nouveau riche at Harrods.
That 2-0 at Highbury is very handy for us: it might just swing one or two people to sign with us and discourage them from going to the Emirates.
Plus I am traumatised by an end of season 2-0 at Anfield some years back that some poxy writer made a film about.

Re: Premier League Discussion Thread
Excellent performance from us today, dissapointed that we didn't manage to keep a clean sheet as it was a very silly goal to give away. I'm just going to relish being top of the table....at least for a day. :P
Luis Suarez looked magical again, although slightly concerned of the way he seemed after his subsitution, he didn't look happy, although I may just be looking into it a bit too deep.
Very happy that Henderson and Adam both got goals as that will give them more confidence now. I have been very happy with all our signings, Enrique might turn out to be the signing of the season, he is certainly looking a bargain right now putting in some brilliant games, I have also been very impressed with Stewart Downing who I didn't really rate before now, but he has been playing very well, Adam has been excellent not as wasteful as he was with Blackpool and is sitting back nicely. I am yet to be totally convinced by Henderson, he did play well today though which was encouraging, hopefully he can keep that up and recreate that against bigger opposititon.
Still feeling optimistic which is always good.

It was more the way he went quickly down the tunnel at full-time on the second. Although I am sure I am looking into it far too deeply.

I get the impression that Saurez is one of those footballers who just loves playing and wants to play every minute of every game , he seems to get frustrated when he's taken off to give him a rest .

Chelsea defensively look worrying, and no Cech... Seems a bit too easy cutting through them at times, and we're talking about West Brom and Norwich nothing too fancy!

Don't see anyone stopping them at this moment in time... Not hit top gear and looking really good. The Tottenham game showed they will be there to the very end for me and most probably will win it... Though I hope Chelsea topple them...

Re: Premier League Discussion Thread
Difficult to make a case for anyone else in honesty... Chelsea looked flawed defensively and a tad shaky... Arsenal don't have a chance of winning the League... City will fall short and mount a massive tirade of a challenge next season... Liverpool and Tottenham both just lack the necessary firepower for me, though Liverpool will have a good season in comparison to the last couple! United just have too many match winners and are just too experienced in winning, all the youngsters and new signings step up, they're so poo I hate them

Re: Premier League Discussion Thread
Arsenal desperately need players in the mould of Patrick Viera. Far too soft in every department - especially defence. They've let Utd walk all over them today. Poor defending and poor discipline...exactly what you don't need at Old Trafford.
The "old" Invincibles side would never have let this happen.
Wenger needs to wake up and realise his policy of using young, unknown players isn't working.

The biggest question is, where do Arsenal go from here?
They have 4 days to strengthen and that doesn't give Arsenal fans much hope. Arsene is in for a long season.

Man Utd totally out played Arsenal the score line could of been 15 - 6
4 days until the window closes and Arsene keeps underpricing players , it could really cost Arsenal unless he changes his approach .

Another thing I don't understand about Arsenal;
Where is the board??
And if I was Arsene, I'd be paying whatever was necessary to keep my team in the top 4!!

Re: Premier League Discussion Thread
if Arsene doesn't want to break the bank then i'd go for
Scott Dann 7 - 8 million
Scott Parker 5 -7 million
Craig Bellamy free
if he's going to spend more then why not try and get
Kaka and Diarra from Real Madrid and maybe Higuain
Cahill or Jagielka 15 million +

It's been fun watching your teams play some beautiful football, but I fear your time has run it's course.

I said on these boards after the first Udinese game when we knew that Song and Gervinho would be suspended for 3 games and number of players were injured and Fabregas and Nasri were leaving that Wenger needed to sign players before we played Liverpool and Manchester Utd or we would be in trouble. He didn't we got another suspension and more injuries. Didn't take a lot of vision to realise we needed players quickly. Think everyone other than Arsene Wenger could see that. I have had faith in him over the years (even the last six barren ones) but he has made a big mistake here. Hopefully now he knows the squad is not good enough and will now force him to spend. There is no point in getting him to go now as any new manager could not change the squad at this stage. We need to see improvement before the January transfer window or that might be the time for change.
