The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Lionel Nallet photo on the bar. That's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

the T14 rocks. The best league in Europe for quality rugby.
Gibbo - glad you had a grand time back home
Won't see the the Ire v Eng game on Saturday, but I hope the players all come through unscathed. Should catch some of the TN decider with a bit of luck.

Thank Flip for that Gibbo, I was all prepared to try some Welsh but my pronunciation needs a little work!
Miss you too hon. I heard about the live transmission but didn't witness it. I was too busy talking elsewhere unfortunately. That'll teach me to be a gobshoite!

Barriers are created, I really don't believe they occur naturally.

Home ok. The rain only lasted for a couple of minutes but it was heavy. The driver took it easy on a dodgy road with several blind corners.

I vote Willy for Pres. There will be lots of arguments, debates and contentious discussion... But, I feel, with the Man in charge... At the end of the day... Obviously...As I say... We'd be grand. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YeuyoyMIF0Q

Pete,
Told the story about you to a Guard (in Donegal) - when you spread the masses(including White Horses) and got us pints in a Pub in Wemberly (must have been a 1000 queing) A time, when the rest of the 606 Tribe, were hopeless, outside and beerless - crying in the rain - in vain. We gave them a complimentry sup. Oh how we laffed and condescended.
Ligind.

First thing on the list Gibbo. Get rid of spiders. Sitting quietly in the living room watch the tv when bang, a fecking tarantula strolls across the floor. Exit stage right, followed by multiple swear words. Definitely not sleeping now.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Morning all
Seriously tired this morning after not sleeping well last night. Think it might have been as a result of eating quite late after waiting for the wife to get back from slimming world. Still, am off to the pub after work as a young probationer PC that I've had on attachement for two months on my team is finishing today to go to his permament posting. Hopefully won't be as busy as the pub in Twickenham Gibbo.
You'll have to let me know when you're over these parts next buddy, been too long since I saw you last.
Been thinking about tomorrows game in DUblin, and I think itis massive for both teams chances in the World Cup, although strangely I would say more so for Ireland. Given the Irish dominance over England in recent years it is difficult to estimate how much England winning would knock the Irish confidence, and could make for a tricky match with Italy in New Zealand if they're not in a great frame of mind.
England also need the win, having dominated territory and possession against Wales and still losing they need a boost in order to hit the ground running down under. If England lose, I still thing they will have the strength of mind to come through their pool which is arguably the easiest with no 3N's team in.
Going to be a fascinating afternoon tomorrow. Good luck to Ireland and I echo what Hound said last night about hoping everyone who plays comes through unscathed. The World CUp is a showpiece and we want the best players possible out there.
Well, that was a bit an early mornign essay, any on the go, I'm parched.

Mams and their boys eh Hughie, it's the same when I go home and see the old girl, if she knows I'm coming she'll go out and get extra stuff in just in case I want something. I always end up leaving there with some sort of food parcel.
You gotta love 'em.
Morning Hound, 'tis gloomy in Guildford also. Have cancelled ESPN as they are robbing bar stewards so will have to try to find a stream for tonights game. What you up to in Henley tomorrow mate, have Wasps got a friendly there or something?

Bore da pawb / good morning all from an equally grey and overcast Newport.
Hound, do they show T14 matches on Eurosport? I'm sure I've watched a game on Europsort in the past.
How long are you home for, Hughie?

Got up at half one Wednesday to drive 7 hrs to Scotland, so it wasn't the best move to go drinking till half one that night. Got up at 6 to go and tend the sheep and didn't get back here till midnight last night. Up now getting the next lot ready to go to Welshpool today. Question - am I mad?

Yes Pete. We're playing Treviso at 2pm. Our A team play at Henley so a lot of our lads will be used to it.
Lucky - batten down the hatches over there. The forecast for Wales and the SW is pretty grim this morning.

morning.
sipping down here,at last;we slept outside again, but had to run to the van at 1 am;still nice to lie there listening to the rain and acorns tumbling.
Off to get the aforementioned vehicle controlled pollution-wise,and get to drive in the rain, love it!!!
don't know if Eurosport have any rights to the Top14,I think Canal+ have it sewn up,and sell off matches to ESPN. Have you got RCT vs BO tomorrow,4pm, your time?

I have Sky so get ESPN through them. I was getting it for about £5 a month but the offer I had has run out and they wanted to charge me £14.95 a month for it so we told them to shove it up their corporate bum.

Pete, I've just checked Sky's website and it's £12 for ESPN if you don't have Sky Sports and £9 if you do. Does the £14.95 include all 3 of the ESPN channels ?

Worth noting that if you are piped into cable, that it may be well worth considering Virgin Media. You have to pay extra for Sky (and ask about availability of Sky red button service).
Overall we got the package much cheaper (including ESPN) with Virgin than via Sky.
