Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the David Wallace photo on the bar. That's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I'm not entirely sure of all their positions myself! Bit of googling...
Neil Faloon is a flanker, James Simpson is a lock, Chris Farrell is a centre, Peter Nelson got his first (non-competitive) Ulster start at 15 bit has also played 10 and 12, Stuart Olding is an outhalf, Conor Joyce is a lock, Kyle McCall is a loosehead, Conor Carey is a loosehead, Blane McIlroy is a 9, David McGuigan is a number 8, Ian Henderson is a lock, David O'Mahony is a lock, Michael Allen is a wing/centre, Conor Gaston is a wing/fullback, John Burns is a hooker, Ricky Andrew is a fullback, Chris Cochrane is a wing,Ali Birch is a flanker, I don't know where Sean O'Connell plays and I think Jablonski is a prop (tighthead?) but don't quote me.
O'Mahony has come from Munster, and I think O'Connell and Jablonski have come through the exiles program and have moved to Ulster. Seems we are casting the net a bit wider.

I don't know Cari. The Dragons have looked good so far. I think we still need to secure the victory.
The referee has been good so far. Nice to see an Italian referee doing well and he's got a fantastic hold of English.

Dragons have played well with no real reward but Munster have been pretty clinical. They took both tries very well.

Cheers. How are you
Had an intetesting chat with a Sarries fan there. I asked him why they bothered playing two wingers today
They are not easy on the eye....bash, bash, bash...kick. Our prognosis is they won't do much in the HC this season.

Cheers Notch. Good to see another two locks have come in. Interesting that two locks have moved from their home provinces to another province's academy.

It occurs to me that Munster v the Dragons out in Cork is not the game to ignite my interest in the Pro 12.

Are you watching it Glas? I think both teams have been very positive and there have been two cracking tries.

Glas - you didn't see the O's game last night? Shame the Blues one wasn't on sounded like it might've been a good one. The final score was 15 - 38 or something like that to the Blues.

Notch - yes it's on S4C.
Glas - the first half was much better than the second, but it was a good result for the O's.

That was such an awful yellow to give. The ball wasn't impeded by the player. Completely immaterial.

56 Cari.
Awww stupid, stupid- Damien Varley is about to get a yellow for giving his opposite number a cheeky slap after a scrum!
Munster getting three yellow cards is not gonna help us plead their case with Glas

A slap is a bit more serious than not rolling away mind you. Not much; I mean if you're gonna get sent off, why slap? In for a penny

Just think, John Hayes and Mefin Davis must have the collective age of 102. Good going.
Can't believe the Dragons haven't got anything whilst Munster are two down.

Nah thats stupid. You slow ball down, you turn ball over- you're making a good contribution. Slapping? Just a liability.
Come on- can you say if I was to ask past and present Scarlets opensides if they ever bent the laws they could tell me they didn't?

That's the crux Cari. They are like headless chickens. Any decent side would be making Munster squirm now.

I think the problem is he has too much of a clue and is reffing too much to the letter instead of letting some things go that are having little to no effect on the game.

How can they possibly get anything if they are penalised for going forward.
The ref has killed the game it's easy to see that this is only the fourth time he has refed at this level,

I wonder what happened to him. He was reffing well in the first half. I hope the assessor didn't have a word.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Well done Munster. Their seconds are picking up where they left off last year. Very impressive. You have to worry about strength in depth of the Dragons. Not to score when you are two up on your opponents is almost criminal. Their centres lack football and pace.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Yeah, the game suffered in the second half but quite poor to only get 3 points when Munster were short for so long. There were a fair few knock-ons and pretty aimless play as well; the flow of the game suffering wasn't entirely due to the ref to be fair.
