Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the David Wallace photo on the bar. That's a banning offence

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

First points in Top14 for Bordeaux Begles, they won 18-6;see if the other new boys,Lyon, get a similar result against Toulouse tomorrow.

If it's only for a substitution, then I don't see the need to stop the clock.

Gutted the Dragons didn't even manage to get a LBP. Weakness at centre really hurt them I think. Ref was a bit hit and miss but not all that dreadful I don't think. Well done to Munster though.

Glas - please come down to Y Parc tomorrow, it'll be lovely to see you OK

And I am just about to make a new pub just so you all know.

He should stop the clock because it was eating into the yellow card time.
If a prop is yellow carded and a replacement needs to come on then the clock should stop.
If they don't stop the clock then sides will just waste as much time as possible.

to be fair, I always thought they stopped the clock for substitutions, but then I don't usually pay all that much attention to it.
