Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the David Wallace photo on the bar. That's a banning offence

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Evening,
hope you are all well.

some surprises in the rugby this weekend;congrats Chief & Dog ,but for me the best was RCT 0-17 ASM,Clermont had 12 academy players, and it was the first time since 1974 that Toulon have not scored at home Yahoo Jason White got through the match unscathed. Agen got a good draw at Biarritz.
saw a ProD2 match ,Oyannax/La Rochelle, refereed by M.Ruiz, who is 24;had a good game, considering the importance of the game,it being his first match at this level and it being televised clap

Off to watch Bordeaux vs Bayonne Run

Loupa is still with us Smile

Evening all

Congrats to As and the Chiefs, hell of a result at Welford Road, also to Hound, great win against the Champions.

Lot's to be encouraged by from London Irish today, but we will struggle all the time we have Jarvis at 10. I pray that next weekend we have Bowden at 10 and Shingler at 12. We have a talented backline and that is a combination that could really get them going.

Didn't have much time and went straight in at 10, which was a mistake for me, I'd have slipped Bowden in there. Having said that he looked lively and tried to inject some pace into the back play, was a decent start for him, looks a good prospect.

I have seen him and get the feeling he won't play at 10 until later in his career but he's got some very strong skills that Irish could utilise well in a number of positions.
