Scotland 15 Georgia 6 - Page 3 Empty Scotland 15 Georgia 6

Post by RDW Wed 14 Sep 2011, 8:18 am

First topic message reminder :

Scotland: R Lamont; M Evans, N De Luca, G Morrison, S Lamont; D Parks, R Lawson (capt); A Jacobsen, R Ford, E Murray, N Hines, J Hamilton, A Strokosch, R Rennie, K Brown.

Replacements: D Hall, G Cross, A Dickinson, R Gray, R Vernon, C Cusiter, C Paterson.

Late change with Scott Lawson pulling out and Ross Ford coming in - definintely adds to the bulk of the pack. Unfortunately means Dougie Hall will come on at some point though.

I'm off work today so can watch!

Come on Scotland!!!!!!!!!!!

The Georgian 10 seems to be fond of a sliced kick. A bit like Byrne; massive left boot, but only works 50% of the time.

Lovely touchfinder in the corner from Parks.

Argh! Handling again. Really costing Scotland.

So frustrating. Just unable to build a head of steam. Not sure whether to blame the rain, or poor skills. Have to say, it's good scramble defence from Georgia.

Scotland hanging off that loose ball? Looks like Georgia want it more - SOMEONE should have gone for the bobbling ball.

Definitely can't blame the rain for all of these missed passes. Forwards are all lined up in the midfield, players don't look like they want the ball, and when they do take it, they don't know what to do with it. Lack of assertion, leadership and belief. And perhaps gameplan. Yet to see a plan B under Robinson; similar criticisms made of Gatland for ages, and until AR finds a style that works for Scotland, I think he probably deserves the criticism.

Parks adds nothing. You'd be better off with Evans at 10 and Paterson on the wing or full back to kick the goals.

please Scotland, get more than a 6 point cushion! Another pen at least.

Sounds maybe they're forcing it a bit, can't believe the amount of knockons really.

You suddenly have Georgia on the back foot, and who is there receiving the ball in the midfield with a massive hole in front of them? Hamilton.

Sort it out.

Both sides have basically had a free for all at nearly ever ruck. Really annoyed me, as most refs' interpretations so far have been good and similar to one another, and then Kaplan has a shocker in the Canada v Tonga game, and now Clancy as well.

Question: if Parks isn't kicking the goals, what is he on the pitch for? He's good at plugging corners, but Scotland have done nothing positive when the ball when they have it in terms of threatening the try line. Who can they bring on?

The Foe button is your friend

I totally agree. I've got somebody on my foe list and my blood pressure no longer is on a roller-coaster ride.

And it's no point saying - "well if you don't agree with their views don't read their comments" - it's like a big juicy scab on your elbow, you know you shouldn't, you know its going to hurt and embarrass you as you bleed all over your workplace - but you just gotta rive at it haven't you?
