First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the collage of great current props' pictures on the bar. We've got Castrogiovanni, Beast, the Franks brothers, Mas, Tonga'uiha, Roncero, Cian Healey (as demanded by Hughie), Stevens, Murray, Mike Ross, Adam Jones and Steenkamp all in action. Graffiti's a banning offence Wink

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Hound as a student I was a committed (and I use that word advisedly) bitter drinker. Then when I moved home the standard of barmanship in some pubs was so low, the bitter was guaranteed to...well I won't go into details but you know what I mean. Now I drink lager or cider, but on the odd occasion when I'm tempted by bitter it causes...you know what, no matter how well it's looked after. Is there a cure?

Asbo, I think the start is vital for you. Let England hit their straps early and you'll be shafted (two horsey metaphors for the price of one!)

I've said on the match thread that if England continue to concede penalties at their current rate, Scotland may not need to run in tries to win.

Yes, it will galvanise the players who will rally round to 'do it for the coaches'.

Glas, fair enough if you weren't being obtuse about the season tickets. But i just don't see how your argument makes sense.

It was a great quiz

They're actually really tough, the names always get me becuase they're so normal (which somehow makes them funnier but less memorable). Ted got Dougal matador stuff, but i genuinely couldn't answer the rest of them. I didn't even think they mentioned a county in the holiday episode but i'd guess it was Clare since the show was shot around there.

I'd say an entire quiz of Father Ted questions would be pretty tricky. Didn't the Irish guy that won mastermind a few years back pick Father Ted as his specialist subject? I think he set a record for the amount of correct answers....

I do know how to take a joke, it's just very difficult to tell when people are joking without being able to see their body language, tone of voice etc. It's confusing.

I think I'm ascribed a level of seriousness by other posters that I don't really recognise in myself Smile
