The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the collage of great current props' pictures on the bar. We've got Castrogiovanni, Beast, the Franks brothers, Mas, Tonga'uiha, Roncero, Cian Healey (as demanded by Hughie), Stevens, Murray, Mike Ross, Adam Jones and Steenkamp all in action. Graffiti's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Funny you should mention shirtless deadbeats. One of them just started pelting the bus I'm on with stones. Fabu-tastic!

Some kid on a school bus threw something out of the window at me as I was cycling home yesterday (it missed). I do look achingly cool with my cycle helmet on, though, so his or her jealousy was understandable.

That's pretty sound of him Luck, you know to take time out of his day to throw something at you while you're (of all things) cycling. Pure. Sound.
I'm going mildly hysterical on this bus.

I had a drunk sat outside my flat cutting his wrist with a bottle this afternoon. The sunny weather really brings out the best people eh?

Yeah, someone had already called an ambulance when I turned up. It was a superficial cut by the looks, because then he got taken away by the police.

Blimey that's not something you ever like to see Cari.
Still gloriously sunny here but it isn't half making me sleepy. Think I'll resist having a nap and pinch Swanny's idea and have an instead.

I don't see stuff like that very often around here....usually get all the drunks around the bus/train stations in Cardiff.

Mickado - the nutter on the bus
I witnessed an odd one this morning. A young (scruffy) guy with headphones on was walking along, and there was another lad about two paces behind looking at him intensely. I figured that they knew each other.
Without warning, and no words were said, the second lad dropped kicked the first lad in the back and sent him sprawling. The second one carried on walking and the first one got up and started walking back the way he had come from.
Not a word was exchanged betwen them.
Bizarre!

That is really odd Harrow. Perhaps they had a row through telepathy and one called the other one a big Muppet.

Chef and anybody else who is interested.
USAP v Agen this weekend (or very soon anyway) is going to be contributing to Richard Parks' 737 challenge somehow. Parks is travelling to watch it himself too.
Real classy that a French team is getting involved. Great publicity too.

Update re the Tevez scandal. Apparently Limavady United offered to take him on a season long loan. Turned down immediately. Genuine my source says but then he would.
Was very impressed with the Georgians this morning. A lot of decent performances across the park. Potential for some European clubs to look into.
May have been 23 degrees here today but she's blowing an absolute gale now. Winter's just around the corner...

Asbo, do you wear the full War Headress to matches along with the kilt?

Mrs P, I didn't have time to see what uniform they were wearing, what with trying not to get run over and all!
I don't know if anyone else saw it, but I just watched the last twenty minutes or so of the 1974 Lions v Transvaal on ESPN Classic, a match I'd never seen before. Dick Milliken scored a great try and set up a better one for JPR.

Yup. And pretty good it is too. There's some cracking beers being brewed in Wales these days. Most of the cwrw haf (summer beer) that I tried with Penfro at the Great Welsh Beer & Cider Festival were excellent.

Limavady United play in the second tier of Northern Ireland football, with opponents including Harland and Wolff Welders and Ballinamallard FC.
He'd be a fool to turn them down!

Two things, yes I was winding Notch up the other day but only he flew off the handle at a perfectly reasonable comment. Secondly I wasn't being obtuse yesterday, those are my genuine beliefs as to season tickets. And finally Stag I am not a young Portnoy, nor am I his Welsh cousin.
Right, that's my bit said.
