Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the collage of great current props' pictures on the bar. We've got Castrogiovanni, Hika Reid, The Beast, Colin Windon, the Franks brothers, Mas, Tonga'uiha, Roncero, Cian Healey (as demanded by Hughie), Stevens, Murray, Mike Ross, Adam Jones and Steenkamp all in action. Graffiti's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Eleven pints in eleven pint glasses or all in one giant glass with a straw?

I'll take the giant glass if possible. No straw though, hard core...

Just found out the company I left 4 weeks ago has decided to let go of 75 people. Very relieved I got out when I did.

I'm delighted from a Welsh perspective that Samoa came close but no more than that - but these group matches have shown how little there is between the three sides at the minute. You could argue that if Samoa had the resources and other advantages that Wales and South Africa have, they'd be better than both, let alone competetive.
You could. On the field, the two best teams in the group will go through. I think Wales are a better team and South Africa have a hard edge that has seen them past both.
But with more regular test matches and a better schedule- who knows? Sadly think this was their best chance for a while.

If you go swimming, see if they sell snorkels and buy one. Chances are there'll be fish around if it's a rocky shoreline. I saw some beautiful fish when I went snorkelling in Lanzarote, it was brilliant being so close to them.

Just finished watching this mornings game. Great effort from Samoa, gutted for them. Saffas look strong though, and streetwise. I can see them disposing of Australia and New Zealand and making the final, against the winner of the Wales v Ireland quarter final.

At the start of the tournament who would have said South African v Wales in the World Cup Final.

Nobody. You'd have got very long odds at the bookies.

We could also end up having a rematch of Ireland v Australia or New Zealand v France.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I think we could beat South Africa, I don't see Ireland doing a double on Australia or shaking the Kiwi off our backs.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I genuinely think it will be a Wales v SA or Wales v NZ final. Wales just look so confident and professional right now and are growing with confidence with each game.
I thought they'd be dark horses but I thought it would be the older guys who would step up but it's been the young guys. They just look fearless.
I might change my mind after this weekend though.

Blimey, quite in here. Everyone must be up and in the beer garden.
Just my luck earlier; I worked a bit extra yesterday so I could escape at 4 but rhen came up against something that had to be approved by a manager. Only a minor thing, but I could not finish until a manager had done their bit.
Could I find one of the feicers!! Ironically, one had been sat next to me but was on their way back to Exeter. More ironically, another one had feiced off early at 3:30 and the last one was in a meeting.
To be fair, he sorted it as soon as he came out of the meeting, but I wasn't happy at the time.
Still, if that's all I have to put up with .

At Dave. Hour to go and I think it's going to be a terrible attendance. There barely seems like anybody is here. Maybe our dire performance v Aironi has scared people off
Can't wait to be loud in there though regardless. I'm very tired from last night however. Hope it's a better performance than the Aironi game. I predicted Ulster by 7 or something on Sportguru I think (oh the shame).
Playing for Risca up Pontypool Utd tomorrow. Would love to get a win, but I think we'll be in for a long afternoon.

It's hard to know what to expect here. Ulster have 13 players missing. I understand the Dragons are similarly decimated so neither side can complain, but it's adds a real wildcard feel to this tie.

I'm very nervous. We have a brilliant/flaky thing going on right from 9 back. So if our forwards get on top we could play really well, start making a few errors... it would be bad.

Conspirators should look at our record when he's reffed us! Not. Good.
Would be slightly hilarious to see the reaction if we won with a massively controversial decision, just for the conspiracy theorists edification. But I hope it doesn't come to that.

It's been monsoon weather here. Awful stuff. As for the Dragons, they have to watch it. They've been very indisciplined.

New stand at Rodney Parade looks fantastic. Great stuff for the Dragons there
I hope Tonderai Chavanga doesn't get the ball. Not because of his searing pace, I just don't think Jim Neilly on BBC NI can handle the name.
