Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the collage of great current props' pictures on the bar. We've got Castrogiovanni, Hika Reid, The Beast, Colin Windon, the Franks brothers, Mas, Tonga'uiha, Roncero, Cian Healey (as demanded by Hughie), Stevens, Murray, Mike Ross, Adam Jones and Steenkamp all in action. Graffiti's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Okay, so I don't know what 'getting your dander up' means. What I meant was that if France get off to a good start it could all come together for them.
On an unrelated note, there are at least half-a-dozen flies in work this morning. I've put some flypaper up. A gruesome end awaits.

I only found out a few weeks ago that Paul O'Connell is younger than Donncha O'Callaghan. You'd never guess from looking at them.

Donncha is a strapping fella to be fair to him. Lovely Cork tan on him.

Morning all
When is the Welsh team announcement? I think I am looking forward to watching the Wales vs. Ireland game more than the England vs. france one, as I can just watch and enjoy it without being nervous about the result.

Gatland has some big calls to make, very interested to see which way he goes.

That's not a Cork tan! He's pinched James Hook's bottle of St Tropez!

Cari,
You should head to Cork. They've all got wonderful tans down there.

Me too Gilly. I love, and hate, playing the French if you know what I mean. Can't stand losing to them more than anyone.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Pete, the conundrum for me is who to start at full back. I'd go for Lee Byrne purely because, of all the candidates, he's probably the best bet under the high ball. He's not much of a counter-attacker though, and also he's quite a dumb rugby player all round (he was carded against Ireland in 2009 for throwing away the ball preventing a quick throw). I can also see the merits of putting James Hook there for his goalkicking and his broken-field running, but I'd prefer Byrne there because fundamentally, Hook's not a full back.
Other than that, I'm not sure there are too many question marks around team selection.
