First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the collage of the captains of the World Cup Quarter Finalists pictures on the bar. We've got Sam Warburton, Brian O'Driscoll, Lewis Moody, Thierry Dusautoir, John Smit, James Horwill, Felipe Contepomi and Richie McCaw.

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

A win is a win is a win as they say, ugly or otherwise. I'm guessing at this stage all 8 teams would take a dour 6-5 win over an exciting 49-50 loss.

Am half an hour into the Ulster game and it's not been pretty for sure. Ulster seem to be lacking a bit of drive and intensity, Treviso really dictating the game. Not seen Ulster this subdued at Ravebhill before. Tactical kicking from the Treviso 10 has been excellent with the exception of a bit of ariel ping pong in the opening 5 minutes.

Right,

Off to bed.

I probably won't be in here till it's all over so I just wanted to say all the best to everyone.

Just, whoever wins, use it!

General consensus here is that we need the Saffers to lose tomorrow to get Johann back to whip these boys into to shape.

Corals, much to my surprise have Australia as marginal favourites if that's of any comfort to the Ulstermen in here.

Am debating kipping on the sofa, so as not to wake the girlies for the early game in the morning.

Also, I know that one of the kids is in my bed with the wife, and I can't be arsed with trying to evict her because I know I will lose and will end up spending the night clinging to the edge of the bed as she is sprawled out in the middle (the child that is, not the wife!)

I didn't want Gibbo to feel lonely Rava so lumped you in with him.

I know you're younger, there are rumours that so is Moses to be fair, so I did request Gibbo's birth certificate to check, but the postage costs on chiselled blocks is ridiculous so I left it at that! Wink

I suspect he'll give out thoroughly if our boys in green don't turn up later on. Not that that's going to happen. Ireland by 14.

Turns out the guy who bought us all a shot was one of the players fathers as yet unable to asertain who's. Debating the merits of heading for a few hours kip/doing my bit for the big society and helping some old fogies through the night.

By that I meant you guys but you got that right?

Cari just think. Over in NZ our collective boys will have breakfasted well (the welsh boys will all have hurled theirs up due to nerves of course) and gone for a small stroll in the fresh air already thoroughly pumped for tonight's game.

Personally I have a bottle of cider in the fridge and my Irish jersey ready to don at 5:59.

I'm on my way out the door,.headed to Richmond for pints, listening to Nothing Else Matters by Metallica, seems sort of apt.

I love when you go back to an album you've not listened to in ages and realise how good they actually are

Rocking tune

I'm awake. Nerves are incredible. THink I'm going to scrap my ideas of going to the pub, just need to focus so much on the game, so staying in the flat it is for me.

Good Luck to everyone for todays matches but please oh please, c'mon Wales!!
