First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the collage of the captains of the World Cup Quarter Finalists pictures on the bar. We've got Sam Warburton, Brian O'Driscoll, Lewis Moody, Thierry Dusautoir, John Smit, James Horwill, Felipe Contepomi and Richie McCaw.

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

just don't do what I did Cari and wear it inside out.

Really pleased and happy with Adam Warren, called in last minute to start instead of Gareth Maule and 2 tries to his name, he's played really well. Could be we've unearthed another gem. He's just got MotM on his first appearance for us, not bad!

Final score 23-12. Well done Treviso. We played 10 minutes of 80 and got what we deserved. Sweet Flip all.
Treviso will cause many problems this season. Maybe a top half table finish.
Gawd we were bad. Sooooo bad

Evening.

Just back from a week on exercise in the field. Absolutely caked in mud. I don't think I've ever been five days without a shower, but I suprisingly don't smell too much as I was using wet wipes to "wash". Have to do it all again next week.

Looking forward to the rugby tomorrow, though I am dying for a lie in. Also very much looking forward to a day at Chepstow Races tomorrow. Limo there and back and a day in the premier enclosure suited up.

Well done Scarlets. Dragons decided to throw a lead away again Doh

Autumn Watch?

Yep yep, on now for the next 8 weeks. Even weirder though is that Chris Packham has now been paired up again as a presenter with Michaela Stracken (I think that's her name) - I remember watching them on tv when I was about 7 on The Really Wild Show! Bit of a strange flashback to my childhood.

none of the pundits they interviewed on Sport Wales could raelly predict a winner for the match tomorrow, I really can't remember the last time a match was quite this evenly matched.

Rev - sounds like you've got a cracking day lined up for tomorrow then! Unlucky for the Dragons, I did see the final score and wondered how the game had gone.

Worst performance I've ever seen at Ravenhill from an Ulster side. No real positives. I can only compare it to the movie Space Jam, where the villains steal the talent of the Basketball stars leaving them a cruel joke of their former selves. That for me would be the best way of summarising the difference between our performance against Cardiff and that game. It was a humiliation really. A disaster.

In a pub now (a real one) with a lot of very angry Ulster fans. Currently drinking our sorrows away. Some guy at the bar just bought everyone who was at the game a shot. Now that's what I call a lad.

Still not quite sure how to feel myself, the sambuca is helping though.

Saw your post Notch on the other thread. That is not good for him or the team.

We have a break now for two weeks and then Scarlets away. They got a morale boosting win tonight. If Ireland do win in the morning we will have to go there with this team. I don't have any confidence in getting a result. After that folks we are into the HC. We would need to be at the top of our game going into those our our season could effectively be over before the end of November.

It's that Fliping bad!!
