The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the collage of pub regulars. We've got the big group pic from the HEC final in Cardiff, plus insets of ll those who couldn't make it
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
a quote from Gatland:
"We are in New Zealand and not in the bubble of Wales and listening to the pundits every day or any negativity that sometimes comes out of Wales."
This I think has been a huge difference, and of a massive benefit for our team.
This match is v v tense, can't believe the lineout stats.
Nervy last 15 mins now.

Morning All
I slept in today, badly needed it. I feel like I've got a chest infection/cold coming too.

All the basics of outside half play are optional extras as far as Cooper is concerned.

I see an Ulster flag in the crowd...must be supporting the Saffas.
MrsPenfro - I took something last night. I'll have some breakfast later before I take any more medicines.

A try would win this for either of em now. Specially Oz. SA looking more dangerous though.

The ref does not seem interested with hands in the ruck.

I don't think the ref is making many friends on either side.

Pocock is amazing.
Just can't call this game, so so close, I've really been enjoying it.

This is pretty tense stuff... the Wallabies have been dominated in all facets by the Boks yet crucial things have gone their way.

Its a real pity the gap is not 3 points, that way we could have had extra-time. Great match

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Some big calls made there by the ref. I don't really know how the Wallabies got the win. It was a difficult match to watch as I didn't know who to support as I don't like either side! All I can say to that is 'Go All Blacks'.

Lawrence made some big calls, many I didn't agree with. Tough loss for SA there, but Oz really played with guts to get that win, full credit to them.

I had Australia to win 2 years ago, but from their showing in the pool stage I didn't think they could do it. Who knows now.

They didn't play ugly, they played badly - but still won, that is a class side. Cooper looked like a soccer player in his first game of rugby, undoubted skill just doesn't 'get it'.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I think Ireland did Oz a favour early on. They are battle hardened for NZ now.
How did they win that? Pocock & Elsom were immense.
The plot thickens.
Now for Felipe's last RWC game. NZ will have far too much for them though. Hope Argentina hold them for most of it and have a real go. Nothing to lose..

Steve Ryder looks a bit happier today, I thought he was going to cry yesterday! How long is this world cup contract for ITV?
Hope Argentina make a game of this next one. It'll be interesting to see how Colin Slade goes.

Yeah, badly too then. Cooper did some crazy things as usual. Seriously don't know how we got through that match... actually I do - sheer bldyi determination and guts... nothing fancy, unaided by poor execution and a few lucky breaks.
