The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the collage of pub regulars. We've got the big group pic from the HEC final in Cardiff, plus insets of ll those who couldn't make it
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

ah he's just been subbed, surprised they didn't do it sooner, he's been playing on with a bad leg for a while now.

Great try for the Pumas....another choke on the cards? Jebus wouldn't that put a spanner in the works?

Anyone else think that high tackle was a very harsh call considering how low Cruden was at the time?

a little bit Munsty but I have seen them given before, I don't think the slightly swinging arm helped.

I would be fairly annoyed if I was a Puma fan, Which I am for the day

Yes it was harsh.

A yellow card would have been harsh, a penalty wasn't.

12 - 7 at HT. Interesting times ahead but if NZ keep chipping away, Argentina won't have much of a chance.

If Argentina get a few points it will put huge pressure on New Zealand.
We all know that the Blacks are a far better side but they are under immense pressure to do well.

Balls! Hope he's OK, but no panic...we still have Wellies. I'd rather have a fit Wellies on than a near injured Priestland.

this is true Cari, this is very true.
No more news on Charteris yet either. Figners crossed they are both okay and the sling is just precautionary!

We still have Hook but I'm sure Priestland and Charteris will be fine.

There's a thread outside saying that PDV quit straight after the Oz/SA match. Looks like there's going to be a few casualties of this world cup...

I hope Rhys is o.k. Hopefully it'll be just a precaution. It's nice to know that we've got three very good players at no. 10 unlike some teams......!

aye I know! I wouldn't be confident starting Hook at 10 against the French though, I'd be having flashbacks to the 6N's all the time

I was trying to be 'neutral', I would never pick him if Wellies is available and fit....

ah Wellies is always fit....
Great kick by Bosch there. He's been one of the best Argentinian players this tournament.

Loving this match.

That would be interesting, England don't always know what they're doing now, they wouldn't have a hope with PdV in charge!

I like that dead look in his eyes Weepu does when he kicks.
I can't believe the ABs haven't scored a try. Fairdo's to the Pumas.

I picked up on that one as well. Seriously a third rate commentary team here.
Argentina are certainly punching above their weight here.

At least we don't have Vickery today.
"Barking out the secret code" (at the lineout)...? He was probably shouting the numbers out in Argentinian.

Am listening to this match on the radio so tough to totally know how it's going. Do Argentina actually have a chance here?

The penalties keep coming though and Weepu is keeping NZ ticking over.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
ah no Argentina a man down injured when they need all their men defending the line.
ah Ledesma, try saving tackle, you're a hero.
Penalty coming against the Puma's, can see a card coming for them soon.
