Is lahiff English?? Went well today although he was against a dreadful tight head. Qera is such a hard hitter. Frightening player when on form. He looks fit for first time in a year

lahiff is english yeh. so strong, corbs will not get back in the team easily.
delon had a stinker today.
a lot of people on the irish forum slating hape, thought he went ok and we suffered a bit with Shingler at 13 when JJ went off. personally would of put delon at 13 and brought thompstone on wing and homer fb.

I'd have done the same stnick, was amazed when Shingler came on. Disappointing performance all round really. Thought Allinson had a complete nightmare.

Allinson had a mare but the biggest reason for me was the way irish present the ball and staff the breakdown. Bath did it much cleaner

Yeh poor game from allinson. Not too down about it, thought we edged the scrum and battled well upfront, awful lineout, why we kept going to Gibson and not Kennedy I dont understand. Hopefully ansbro and tagi back next week.

We bossed the scrum overall, but got schooled at the lineout and breakdown, and you are never going to beat a half decent side when that happens.

One of the main things that concerned me is with the exception of Topsy Ojo, we never really looked like getting over the gainline regularly, we miss Garvey and the Hoff massively at the moment, the sooner we get them back the better.

Good summary of T14 weekend:

http://nz.sports.yahoo.com/rugby/news/article/-/11066901/clermont-back-on-top-wilkinson-shines-for-toulon/

Bad news for Chris. Domingo just back from injury has injured his knee and will be out for 6 months

When I played a decent standard I was always 102 and that was too small now I am 110 which is about 17 stone odd. Certainly not as fit as I
Was. Train 3 nights a week and generally play or do
Some sport on weekend.

It's the drinking that does it weight wise. That and a sedentary job with loads of travel

Last thing you want to do is hit the gym after travelling for 10 hours.

I've just had 6 weeks off structured PT and its killed me getting back into it. As a Sgt (33) your expected to be as fit as the lads if not fitter (19/20). Nearly have a heart attack smashing out the runs in the morning and putting a brave face like it's a piece of pi ss.

How tall are you then Matt?

Talking of 5'6" I am sure Lee Mears is listed on the Bath website as 5'9". If he's 5'9" then I'm 6'6". I've got bigger feicin gnomes in the garden!

Mears is 5ft6/7 he lives quite near me and often see him
In local waitrose or sainsburys. Never 5 ft 9 and the least likely looking rugby player you would ever see.

Usually you bump into players and you think what a unit even the backs. Mears looks like he should be working in the super market.

Occasionally bump into banahan and he is huge and really stands out

Thorpe isn't big enough, physical enough or intelligent enough to play 8. In the absence of the Hoff, I would rather see one of Gibson, Gray or Sinclair there.

To be fair, neither Gibson or Gray are quite physical enough for it, but both are bigger and cleverer than Thorpe.

Next week I would go with Sinclair, Danaher and Gibson to start, and gray on the bench if fit. If he's not, I would rather have Sisi on the bench than Thorpe.

What a tool that bloke is, put some big hits in today Farrell, nearly put Trinder in the stands with a cheeky shoulder barge. Sarries really look to rough teams up away from home, any win at Kingholm is massive
