Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Good work Pete, you missing the running of things?
Just watching old rugby club, Mays try for Gloucester was sensational in LV. Boy is absolutely electric, not sure of some of his basics (Matt could back up, maybe because he's going so fast!).
We should be getting these types of players involved in England set up with a view to 2015.

Absolutely not Pooly, happy to help and do some bits, but glad to not be in charge any more.
League table updated, very tight, just 10 points separating the top 9 teams.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
I have to say a huge well done and a lot of credit to SJE and Arry. When SJE took over Sale were a shambles and now sit second in the table, and after 3 years of slogging it out at the wrong end Arry has built a Wasps team that is now just 1 point off a play off spot.
Well done guys.

Going to be a massive upset at Kingston Park when the Warriors come visiting!!
Just had to google Banca Monte Crociati to see who they were and look at their squad....google translate's comical some of the positions come out as: pylon, extreme, med-shuffle!!

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Mays basics are great passes off either hand good kicking game. Played a lot of 12 due to this.
Personally think to use his speed 13/14 is better for him currently. Can play fb as well. Truly versatile and so dangerous. Could see may sharples and trinder playing for England in time

Am debating bringing back some big guns this week, although don't think I'll start any French or Kiwi players who had a heavy workload at the WC, so the likes of Nallet, Dusautoir and Nonu.

I'm 50/50 on whether to name Pierre as he only played a bit part at the RWC so should be fresh.
The league should really be interesting now as tactics will really come into play with the wet weather

Yeah, I mean people like Ioane, Toeava and Traille will all be in contention for me, as they didn't have much game time at all at the World Cup.

Pierre is fine Driver. I'm considering Barcella, Servat, Read etc. Think Thorn, Franks played most games (Franks def) so prob look to ease them in a bit slower

Played an awful lot of rugby of late Mas and Hari. Mas especially in the heat of a world cup final scrum

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Servat played every game pooly would have thought he would be knackered. Mas played qf onwards so should be ok. What's peoples thoughts on mas and hari playing. They missed the group stages pretty much

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
true but they played some intense games in the qf,sf and final. i would maybe not start both. kaino and poux definitely not starting for me.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Really wish that Corbisiero had flourished at tighthead rather than loosehead right now. Lahiff has been outstanding for us this season, and none of our tightheads have shone.
Part of me would love to see a front row of 1. Lahiff 2. Paice 3. Corbisiero for Irish next week, but can't remember when Corbs last played tighthead so would be a massive gamble.

Ion was ok yesterday, but know what you mean pete. wonder whether he will start with corbs next week over lahiff as no doubt castro should start over cole the way he played v Sale.
JJ definitely out so be interesting to see if he goes Armitage or Ansbro at 13. I'd go Armitage there, Homer fb, and Tagicakibau on the wing.

I'd go the same stnick, although unless we can front up in the pack and get some of them carrying hard at tigers, it won't matter who we have in the backs as they won't be seeing much ball.

Lahiff is a beast, always thought he could do well, hence the fact I bought him off you in this game, but he has come on leaps and bounds from literally nowhere this season.
Between him, JJ and Dan who has been our best player so far, with Jamie Gibson and Tom Homer not far behind.

Thing is I think Booth sees him as a 7, and he is very good there, so he may not get a lot of time at 8 to be honest.

needs to bulk up a little and improve his carrying which will come in time.
bowden is my player of the season so far, but lahiff and jj close. what do you make of bryn evans so far?
u really hate the poor ginger dont you pooly! you cant fault the lads kicking!

I like the look of Evans, but I think him and Kendo in the engine room is too lightweight. He is mobile though, and I'd be really tempted to have a look at him at 8 until Hoff comes back, as Thorpe is not good enough really.
Sandford looked a unit yesterday, and might be a better partner for Nick until Matt Garvey or Big Bob come back.
