Just seen Tonks played at 10 for Northampton in their thrashing of Tigers in the A-League.....Ford captained the Tigers too.

Tonks is a great player Prop, really good but he's problem is that he has to get Foden out the team! He scores in all the games I;ve seen him play.
Saints are really benefitting from have Dusty Hare as their youth team manager/scout - they;ve got some amazing players coming through the ranks

I remember when I had Tonks in this game, signed him from Leicester in season one as I thought he looked the biz, but then he dropped off the radar and went to Nottingham I think, before ending up at Saints.
Good player, lots of potential.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
To be honest Edwards hasnt really been with Wasps for last two years - he's spent so much time at Wales he always gets an ironic cheer when he;s in the stands.
Its the Saints young pack that really impresses me, they've got a guy called Alex Waller who stopped Doran-Jones playing at the start of the season, then picked up a slight niggle. Then they've got current u20 hooker Mikey Haywood who is now no2 at Saints - James Craig's a great signing for them from Leeds last year and then off top of my head they have Ben Nutley, Sam Farmer and a no8 called Ingle.
Hare's taken all the best youth players away from Tigers, think Saints are quickly becoming the best academy side in England, though Sarries are up there too and actually producing a lot of English talent.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Hope Waller gets more gametime this year than he did last, as he's a good young player who could well kick on if he does, but needs to be playing if he is going to progress.
Be good for me if he does, he's a handy enough player to have as my 5th choice loosehead in this game.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Waller's a class act Pete, got a load of potential - very good scrummager and good in the loose - got a friend who knows the owner at Saints and they rate Waller, Haywood and a young winger called Elliot as their major hopes, think all are in the u20s.

Are you on about Jamie Elliot the centre Chris? The one who scored about 6 tries in the LV cup last year?

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Yeah Jamie Elliot, he's a winger - they've nicknamed him 'future' as he's just a natural try scorer - think he's played 5-6 first team games for Saints and has scored 7 tries. Cracking prospect.
Think we are finally getting some great youngsters coming through the system and they are getting game time - just need a few more to come through at no8 and 12 and we'll be sorted!

Looks like we've got some great props coming through now, be interesting to see how they develop as havent seen this many 20-22 year olds get game time like this before.
Got a lot of good hookers too at Sarries, Saints and Quins.
If only we could find a no8 and inside centre from somewhere!

i want to wait and see lahiff against a good tight head. he will learn but he seemed to struggle in some games.
you will not get as poor a front row as bath put out on saturday with the samoan tight head mears and Catt.
Really like the look of lahiff though

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
he got battered by nick wood but he played tighthead for the first time.
at loosehead he has got the better of every opponent so far this season.
early days and hasnt been up against great opposition but can only beat whats put infront of you. if he starts this weekend he will get the ultimate test, cole and castrogiovanni.

Alright fellas, it's 'Arry here I've had to create a new account, my request for my hotmail account to be unblocked has been denied. I can't be bothered to keep messing and waiting around for them so I've just made a new account. Will make a new Wasps page very soon and get my line up in for my game with the Saints as well. Cheers

He will have days where he gets turned over by experienced tightheads, but he's only 21 and only converted to prop from flanker a couple of years back, so plenty of time for him to learn the intricacies of front row play. Bags of potential though, and very very powerful. Really looking to see how he progresses. I think he could go a long as he appears to have a fantastic attitude as well.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
No mate, he never signed a contract apparently, only a pre contract agreement. Failed his medical because of his knee injury which appears as if it could be pretty long term, so Mourad withdrew the contract offer.
Not sure if he is back at the Bulls.

Bakkies out for about 8 weeks. It's the Achilles he aggravated in south Africa. Came down from a lineout awkward in training.

Has been a n odd one with Shaw Pooly, he was originally going off to join Bath and link up with McGeechan again, then he wanted to play for Wasps but there was always rumours out of the club that he wanted to go and play in France for his last year. Didnt know he signed a contract though, hopefully we might get a small transfer fee now then!
