The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing picture of newly retired Gareth 'Alfie' Thomas.
Also a special picture of Thomas Domingo and wishing him all the best on a speedy recovery.
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Great, amigos, looking forward to receiving those
Been busy the last few days getting this new PC up and running, transferring files from the old machine, installing new software etc. Oh, finding out what Skype is all about, coz it's built in to this all-in-one. Trouble is, the webcam is located at the very top of this very big screen. Kicked off by Skyping (?) with an old flame who now lives up a mountain in France. Him: I can see a wall and what appears to be a cat or a dog at the bottom of the screen. Puma: that's the top of my head, you fool.

Good luck
Stag - Castres are another team that struggle to score tries. They just won 4 in a row without crossing the whitewash. Last weekend they scored one but were beaten at home by RM92.
Stade Pierre Antoinne was the first French ground I went to. Loved it, and the fans - even the open air pissoire seemed appropriate

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Good evening! How is everyone?
I'm actually ahead of the game regarding deadlines right now And so I have time to waste. Last night I was at various art galleries (they open late on the first Thursday of the month) and tonight I'm off to see We Need To Talk About Kevin tonight. So life is good when you can work 9-5ish and then have the evenings off. I'm enjoying it while I can!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Evening Notch, nice to see you. Glad to hear you're not all work and no play, that's not good for you!
I'm off to my mums shortly and have just realised the rain is tipping down here so that's going to be a fun journey I'm taking my Mum down to London tomorrow to see the Degas exhibition at the Royal Academy. Should be a good afternoon, I'm looking forward to it. Will have to catch up on the rugby when I get back Sunday morning.

Evening Swanny
For sure, working hard but having a lot of fun too. Singer/songwriter asked me to do some tracks with him as well so I've got a good bit on. Its great.
Cari- bit gutted to be missing Leinster vs Munster if I'm honest. But I haven't seen my ma in a good few weeks and she offered to meet me for food and then go to the cinema. I'm not going to say no, she's my mum. You have to be nice to mums
Now, if you want to read into her choice of film to take me too... well thats another thing

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Nigel O. just said that they're aiming for a 7:45pm kickoff Swanny, he's going to call it in the next ten minutes or so. He says it's surface water that's a problem - no sheet Nigel!
Notch - enjoy the film....I wonder what your mam will think!

Let's see the Irish Derby then!
In the pizza shop earlier and Miss G started impersonating the Turkish shop owner
Then he said:
"and this pop is for the baby"
"I'm not a baby, I'm a little girl"

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
What's the score in that match? Currently in taxi from station to my local! Been told I may be able to get a refund tomorrow although it could mean going to newport again!! That's 2 journeys equalling half the price of the ticket!!
To be fair the state of that pitch it was never going to be on, better drainage system needed or a fire pump!!

Just watched a bit of rugby on French TV. Richard "je suis une 'golden boy' aussi" Dourthe was on there as a pundit. There's a blast from the past!

How do you play swill? What are the rules?
Chef, I know you aren't fussed by international rugby, but the France v Wales game in 97 that Dourthe played in is one of the top five highlights of my life so far.

Morning all
It's been a long week. Stuffed up with cold as is the wife. One child has a sinus infection, and another has an ear and throat infection. Knackered.com!
Still, at least there is some rugby on the box to keep me sane today!!!
How's tings with everyone else???

Morning pete. Whilst not exactly raring to go - self inflicted Harviestoun beer damage - I'm off into work for a couple of hours to prep stuff for next week.
Then I'll nip over to Ealing to see them play the 'Blood and Sand', aka Cambridge. Hopefully the weather holds up!
