Players like Daffyd James would have been on big bucks as was Ben Cohen. Whereas I suspect players like Carl Fearns who'd have been great to keep hold of was probably hugely undervalued.

Anyone watching the Bath game? It's like watching paint dry
Louw is having a nightmare. He doesn't seem to want to smash through defenders the way he used to do in S14/15

Cusiter and Gray aren't having good games. Louw has been okay. He isn't going to smash through defences in the HC, its not how the competition works. Defences are too solid.

Tom Heathcote looks a better prospect every game he plays. Needs to find regular game time at fly half.

Massice scrumaging effort from Harden and Wood early on in Toulouse. I am starting to consider Wood as good option for England Loosehead.

Glos playing well. May is cracking.
Glos front row has been great all year. Diawiduuk is keeping out lawson and has arguably been our best player this year.

What an odd decision with that late tackle. The guy knocked it on and the guy completed his tackle and it was seen as tackling the man without the ball

I am not sure Manu is as nailed on as some people think. He still has things he needs to work on. I think I'd prefer someone with a bit more pace and better hands at 13 with Manu at 12 in an ideal world.

No this has been a very poor game from him. He is simply guessing at scrum time and is missing a lot of forward passes and holding on to the ball at the ruck.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Manu to 12 could be an option. If we look at other options for 12 Barritt/36/Farrell/Allen I'm not sure any are Int quality (although they need testing).
We need some some gas at 13, a backline of:
9. Youngs
10. Flood
11. Ashton
12. Manu
13. Trinder/May
14. Sharples
15. Foden
Is mouthwatering

May will be an international by next season I think. Fitzgibbons always dreadful. Fair result. Toulouse 10,12,13 let's them down a bit.
Thought mat was sensational at fullback in his first appearance there. Can play anywhere. Wood and big Jim also went well

Great minds Driver lol. Only thing that worries me is the midfield defence. Tindall is a great defence lynchpin, not sure a combo of Manu and Trinder/May is quite ready to be paired.

Need a 10 inside to marshall them and a gobby 9 to keep them in place. It's why i'd go Care and look to bring Farrell in for the Italy and Scotland games

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
I would look to move towards a England squad rather than a 22 over the next 12 months. Its a tough call whether to have a controlling player or a powerhouse at 12. As a more adventurous backline I'd go with the following.
9. Danny Care/Ben Youngs
10. Toby Flood
11. Charlie Sharples
12. Manu Tuilagi
13. Henry Trinder
14. Chris Ashton
15. Ben Foden
20. Lee Dickson
21. Owen Farrell
22. Delon Armitage
but a more conservative backline Id like to see this
9. Lee Dickson
10. Toby Flood
11. Delon Armitage
12. Owen Farrell
13. Manu Tuilagi
14. Chris Ashton
15. Ben Foden
20. Ben Youngs
21. Twelvetrees
22. George Lowe
I don't really see why we can't have two options in a position. Don't need a first choice in every position but can have a squad rather than a side so that when injuries hit they don't hit as hard.
Players like Joseph, Ford, May, Burns, Simpson, Wade, 36 etc could all come in when ready.

Think England have more good youngsters than any other nation at the moment in terms of potential - question is will they all come through and develop and can we find a no8 and n07 amongst them as we have top quality everywhere else!

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
As for the pack I'd also like a pack capable of dragging the opposition into a dog fight as well as a pack which could play at a high intensity
1. Wood
2. Hartley
3. Cole
4. Deacon
5. Lawes
6. Wood
7. Fourie
8. Fearns
then a more high intensity pack of
1. Corbisero
2. Hartley
3. Cole
4. Lawes
5. Palmer
6. Croft
7. Wood
8. Haskell
Got an abundance of talent to filter in such as J.Gray, Marler, Brookes, Imiolek, Thomas, Lahiff, Vunipola, Harden, Gaskell, Attwood, Kitchener, Garvey, Day, Launchbury, Gibson, Wallace, Clark, Mercer, A.Gray etc
We are in desperate need of another Hooker to emerge to challenge Hartley.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Think gray will challenge Hartley. Harden is not a bad shout for a call up if he carries on playing like he has. As a glos fan I would have wood in the squad on form.
Fail to see how people are calling for fearns at 8 he has barely played there

It is where he is suited to play. He is a great carrier and I hope its where he will play for Bath when he gets over his injury.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
I like the look of Mikey Haywood, the Eng u20 hooker who is on the bench for Saints a lot, think he could end up taking over from Hartley if he develops like he is - seems to be very similar but enjoys running with the ball a bit more.
Hartley's tight play seems to have improved over last 12 months to the detriment of his loose play, though think a major issue that people overlook with him is his ability to wind players up.
We need a new partner for Lawes in second row, a real beast of a ball carrier as I think Lawes will become the best defensive lock around, but not sure he will develop a brilliant carrying game.

Lawes was exceptional yesterday. Just catching up on all the games. Interested to see doc and Dowson dropped. Thought Clark had a good game and looks a prospect at 6. Great breakdown work.
The munster 6 looks good and howlett still worth signing for anyone needing a winger.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Lawes could become the best defensive lock in the world - he made tackle after tackle yesterday.
Thought Wood was absolutely fantastic - there were a lot of young players in that Saints 23 and everyone stood up. Think they will top that group, as they are getting better in each game.
