Whys this being talked about as if its happening?
I think Haye is just trying to get some attention that he desperately craves.
Its bad enough he has to talk about himself after a Groves fight, but throwing hints of a return is just sad. You either are or you aint.
Naseem did the same as did Hatton, its pathetic. Just sign the contract and take the beating thats awaiting you Mr Haye. If you don't want too, then go crawl under your big pile of letters with acting offers.

Re: haye v vitali ?
But its not happening Scott, unless you have something more reliable that some nerd on ESB saying "Haye IS ON"
At this moment, its not happening, maybe it will maybe it won't. But if it IS going to happen, they should just come out with it.
Booth is being a tool as well, saying that Haye sparred a few rounds the other day and looked slow and sluggest (or words to this effect), saying that he told David that its a hard road back from retirement. Hes only been retired a couple of weeks for cryin out loud.
Considering that he hardly ever fought that many times, whats happened to Haye within the last few weeks that has had such a bad effect on him.
Team Hayemaker talking nonsense again.

Re: haye v vitali ?
Im not taking in all the "Haye considers this, Haye considers that".
Hatton spent the best part of 1-2 years talking up the Khan fight last time we had a retired fighter from the UK.
Until pen is put to paper, it is another attention seeking session from Haye trying to grab a few headlines. He would get more respect if he just announced he has signed. Instead he plays his games with the public.
Audley is making his comeback in 2012, now that sounds like more fun.

I'd actually quite like to see Audley v Fury. I think Channel 5 would be pretty happy with the viewing figures too
Unfortunately, it would get seriously high viewing figures, especially if Audley had Russell Grant in his corner! This is a fight that is more likely to be made (Another quote for Scott)

The whole of the UK might be still fuming with big Fraudley, but rest assured, he is guaranteed to pull a few million viewers no matter how poor a fighter he is. Comedy value alone, be is right up there as a marketable fighter.
The PPV side of him would never make much money but Terrestial TV would have a field day with him.

Fury got 1.74m vs Pavjik up from 1.03m vs Firtha and not bad compared to 2.22m vs Chisora. You'd have to think Audley could double it.

Oh and a peak of 3.3m, which I think translates to better numbers than Chisora, but a lower average because the show was longer with the undercard fight.

Don't forget the Firtha fight probably got lower views due to the fact that the feed cut out for people watching on non-HD!

Alma one of the tabloids this morning said it was all but a done deal for 3rd March next year in Dusseldorf, but apparently the Klitschko's had set a 10th December deadline to have it signed and sealed, does look to be more than rumours. All over to Windy's in March it is then.

It very much seems as though it's going to happen just needs to be properly announced, with this many people around the loop talking about it, it looks like a certainty.

Re: haye v vitali ?
Sounds like this fight is going to be happening. Adam Booth was with Haye at the O2 last night, and Haye has remained quite close to the old Hayemaker clan which is usually strong signs a "retired" fighter will be coming out to fight again.
Vitali will beat Haye with ease. Adamek had a go, and pretty much got destroyed despite Vitali showing signs of slowing down. He's too big and skilled for Haye- it will either be a wide UD for Vitali or a Mid to Late KO if Haye has a go.
Forgive my ignorance, I would still pay to watch this fight so I hope it does happen.

Re: haye v vitali ?
You may not have to pay for it, depends if Sky are serious in their commitment to reign in the PPV's. Would be interesting to see if they do say this will be on normall Sky Sports if Haye sticks around or moves over to Primetime. Would be very nice to think on the back of fans shelling out for non events in Harrison and Wlad Haye would agree to this being on normal Sky to give a bit back to the fans but do suspect this is wildly optimistic on my part.

Re: haye v vitali ?
Vitali certainly isn't too skilled for Haye, he is simply just too big and too hard.

Why would he want to retract it? Hennessy said that after the fight, he didn't promote it as Hagler v Hearns before hand. Big difference.
There is no way I would pay to watch David Haye anymore.

I always thought that Foreman/Lyle was the Hagler/Hearns of the heavies, whilst Hagler/Hearns was itself the Hamed/Kelley of the middles.

Someone said it wouldn't be billed as a Clash of Titans, he cited an example of the same promoter going overboard about the same boxer. A fairly relevant example, and he wasn't criticising Hennessy or saying it wasn't his job, just that he could well do it again.
