The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing pictures of Shane Williams above the bar!
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Thanx for the trains ,Pete
So those as wants can jump on the 18,35 and by the time they get to the gig there should be the end of the Roy Wood set, and then Quo;great planning, although I will miss Kimmy -ah! probably not, I have a backstage pass, soooo.......
All we need now is the meet up point in Cardiff;which hostelry?

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
So I can take the terrace ticket and we can sell the two South Stand tickets.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
IF there is actually a spare one, then yes Stag. Just need Glas to confirm

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Is there much demand for the game. Tickets appear to be very easy to get.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Dreamer, can you let me know when you know which train you're getting? I'm looking at getting the 12.31 from Newport, which is the London Paddington to Swansea train and arrives in Llanelli at 14.07.

Oh balls, I'm not sure it is spare. Glas, you've put Puma down in your list, but did you not mean Kiwi?? (he is coming isn't he?)
Stag they'd sold over 10K by yesterday, the West and East stands are open, but on the online plan there are next to no seats left in the North and South stands I don't think. We might be able to buy a terracing ticket on the day, but only if we get there early enough.

Glas, I’m not sure I’m up to it.
But I can only start to give it a bash. I’ll start collecting the data and if I can see anything interesting in it then I might start doing some posts.
He was incredibly good though, he had kicking stats for everyone, would love to know what software he used!

The opening ceremony of the London Olympics is going to cost £80 million. Surely all you need are a ribbon and a pair of scissors?

Lucky if you saw what China did last time I'm not surprised. It is a heck of a lot of money though.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
But why is there a need for a ceremony at all? Couldn't we just have Lord Coe walk up to a microphone and say 'the Games have begun?'

They could lead the crowd in a Cockney medley: 'Knees up Mother Brown,' 'Roll out the Barrel' and all the songs off Oliver!

Neither did I!!! But the band used to rehearse in the front room;didn,t bother the neighbours cos it was on the South Circular, next to London-Gatwick railway, with the approach to Heathrow above.
