The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing pictures of Doug Howlett above the bar!
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Discussion in Llandeilo pub toilet:
"alright"
"aye good, you?"
"yes, five past eleven before my first urine"
"that's good going"
"yes, but it'll be a good one now"
"you'll fill the Flip pan!"
BJ Botha just binds on the arm, John Hayes stands up. On the first sign if rugby Munster killed it abd Poite wasn't enough of a man to deal with it. Not really upset, because Priestland is a lady-garden and we didn't deserve to win. Poor selection, poor kicking, poor skills too many mistakes. We couldn't even injure Poite properly. Right, bed, Bath awaits in the mora.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Morning.
Hope everyone enjoyed themselves yesterday at the meet and gig.
Watched the O's match last night with my bro and his familiars. Not sure if he's converted from football, but at least the match was full of tries, and the atmosphere at Wembley seemed decent - could hear O's fans singing a few songs even! Shame about the result, but the O's managed to close the gap enough to get an LBP.
I have a stinking cold coming - very sore nose and throat kept me awake last night. Well, it was due I suppose given the time of year and standing around waiting in the cold for buses...

Afternoon peeps. Good result for Irish yesterday Ozzy.
In the pub in Ealing awaiting the start of the game at the Rec. I hope it's not raining in Bath 'cos it's bleeding horrible at that ground when it rains.

6-3 to Bath at HT.
They've played well Leinster have had a lot of defending to do. We look good when we get the ball though.

If Bath has the same weather as Cardiff...the pitch must've been like a bog.

Was a great result, but more importantly for us Irish fans it was a really good performance which showed that we may just be able to keep in touch with the play off contenders in the AP. Just need to do it consistently now.

Coo, quiet in here. Terrible discipline cost the AP teams over this weekend. McGeechan will be particularly concerned with the penalties Bath gave away.

Possibly two from the games I saw today. Nacewa for an illegal hit and Youngs for hauling a Clermont player to the ground.
So who is your 'suspect' Ozzy?

Well done little LDPCP!
Hound,
How many of Bath's penalties was Caldwell responsible for?

Congrats to little P. I found out my old primary school are doing the Lion King as thier school musical, as Gaeilge except for songs. Could be unusual but great at the same time!

I am having a SG mare. Accuracy 50%. that means a computer churning out results at random would be just as accurate (once a sufficient sample size for statistical significance was reached).

I'm not doing much better Glas, 61.11% percent for me. Either sublime or utterly ridiculous and no middle ground whatsoever
If it's any consolation we're both on 86.67% in the Amlin
I like the seasonal emoticons, is great!

That is one unhappy Santa!
We put our Christmas Tree today so everyone in our house is
Between Bethlehem last night, Christmas Tree today (it actually snowed the biggest flakes of snow I have ever seen while we were putting it up), then Uncle "Clowny" arrived with pressies which are under said tree and then the first of several Carol services, we are really feeling Festive!

Hala'ufia. Deserves to be cited and I would suspect a ban in the region of 10 weeks or so due to his previous.
Quiet in here today. Hope all the regs on the meet have survived the weekend.

Sorry, I've been yakking with people mrsp. Caldwell was ok, but at least twice Bath back rowers played the ball at the back of a Leinster ruck thinking it was out. Those penalties cost Bath the game.

Morning all
Been in work for just over an hour now, was extremely cold when I left the house at 5 o'clock!!!
Anyway, what a fantastic weekend of Heineken Cup action. I still have a few games to watch that I have recorded. Cannot wait for next weekends action now though.

It's a bit early for that.
(however, we did manage to bump into the float so Miss G could meet the man himself last night, in the car on the way home Mrs G said the reindeer were resting but Miss G said no it made more sense to have a jeep to tow the trailer on the road...)

One for Mickyt when he comes in:
"I went to see my Doctor today and told him I'd had a nasty reaction when applying the piles cream he gave me. He asked me where I'd applied it so I told him, on the bus"

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Personally I had a whale of a time on Saturday, so much so with Mrs G being poorly, I couldn't drive up to Bath for the Sunday.
Luckily Stag, Lucky and Dreamer didn't listen to my pleas for them to come out on the town in Llanelli, to see the marvels of Station Road and Barnums with us, and stay the night. Me, Subsbench and our mate ended up quite drunk in Llandeilo having a kebab and a taxi home.

Those wanting a laugh go to the Scarlets v Munster match thread or the thread on cheating. Apparently refs are to blame for poor crowds!

Afternoon all. Hope the travelers have returned safely to their respective destinations. I got an interesting voicemail from Hughie in the dead of last night. I have listened to it a couple of times and am struggling to understand it. Sounded like everyone was having a great time though.
One thing struck me though. Three games watched over the course of two days and only three tries scored!! Must have been a bit boring eh?
