The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing pictures of Doug Howlett above the bar!
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Well they need to catch up then, obviously it's true that unless you were a ti...sensible coat you will catch a chill.
Out of interest did you see that program on Channel 4 that reported a trial showing that a glass of hot milk before bed improves the quality of sleep? They thought that was an old wives tale and all.

The vet said I had the heart, lungs and legs of a Thoroughbred.
Arkle. Red Rum. That kinda ting.
Hugster and I were last men standing. 05:30 ...
When I say standing...
Great weekend.

Didn't see it Glas.
They did teach us that shouting can lead to damage to vocal cords resulting in pain and hoarseness.
Just as well Dreamer wasn't doing any shouting in that untidy coat or she would be in real trouble!

Anyway, that's enough of the patrician.
Gibbo, fill us in on the Vet visit, or is it more Micky Marsbar stuff?

Kia was taking Poppy to have her leg checked. So we felt it was financially prudent to get group rates for a young and old dog.
BTW, what is "getting spayed" ?

What by falling off the board?
No by having to close his laptop really quickly"

Gibbo,
If the vet, or anyone else for that matter, was suggesting that you get spayed, I would ask to see their qualifications.
Still, it's very good to see all you chaps having such sympathy of an operation that is only performed on females!

Just trying to protect the male regs.
Cos if someone, vet or otherwise, is rummaging around your pelvis looking for reproductive organs they will either be sadly disappointed or they've removed the wrong thing.
Or, there is something you aren't telling us.
But, I'll just let them work away from now on.....

I just made Shepherd's Pie and stumbled across the greatest extra with it. BBQ sauce, try it in the mat gives it an amazing kick.
Also MrsP, Pr4wn a sound fella from the American football board (Supports same NFL team as me) left some Basketball advice for you. He was in Florida the last few weeks watching his NFL team capitulate. Plenty of other fun stuff to do in Florida though and he had great craic( Just stay away from Miami)

Evening All. Hope everyone's well.
Had a massive thunderstorm in Newport today, thankfully I was indoors and the weather was calmer when I left work. Didn't get home until twenty to seven though. I hate nine to fives and will avoid doing them as much as possible in future. Thanks to Staggy, I had some virtual company on the bus anyway

Thanks Thomond!
Just been over and read that. Thankfully we seem to have done the right thing on the "Hoop" front!
Worcester Sauce is also good for adding a wee kick to anything with red meat I find!

What's this about Prop not being able to handle his cider?
I'm sure he told me he was from Frome - I must have misheard him.

Ah Cari,
Our posts passed in hyperspace there!
Not too bruised today I hope?
Do you get to choose which starting time you have or does everyone have to take a turn at the less popular shifts?

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
MrsP - I normally work from about half seven until half three every day, but today I had a course that was going to run over, so I started at nine and didn't finish until 5:15....and had to wait half an hour for a bloody bus afterwards.
I haven't got any bruises (that I can see). Couldn't sleep on my left side last night though because it's painful, and I feel like I've pulled muscles or strained something in my left arm. I'll live

Likewise Penfro, an absolute pleasure to meet you and all the other "treckers", a hell of an adventure by all accounts.
200 mile round trip to see "my boy"? I'd like to say he's worth it but I'm still waiting, hopefully it wont be long now but as the next home game is after Christmas he's got a few weeks to get his act together.

Hi PJ. Grand to meet you and MrsHolybloke after the game. Albeit briefly.
Handsome bu88er ya! MrsPJ is lovely. So warm too.
We were shattered by then. Spent most of the wknd travelling. Dont think Red Stag's record will ever be beaten. 4 ERC games in 1 weekend. Man' s got stamina.
Hope our paths cross again and we have more time to chin-wag my friend.
P.S. We have an online Virtual Rugby Pub on Facebook. We use it to organise tours and pishups.
Please feel free to join. Some pics of you are already on there.

Gibson, it was far too brief an encounter with all of you, I did have a good chat with Penfro though so that was good. I could tell I'd missed the peak of the adventure as most of the crew had clearly "hit the wall", we'll definitely meet again I'll make sure of it.
Stag actually looked one of those most with it on Sunday, his voice was a bit in and out but otherwise he looked in good shape - clearly he's a bit of an animal.
I'll join the Facebook pub for sure, Mrs Holybloke says hi to everyone she thought it was a great but too brief addition for her buffday weekend.
See you soon boss.
