The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the picture of David Sisi, Jannie de Beer and Glen Webbe above the bar!
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Yeeeoo Gibbo! Stick that in your Dutch pipe and smoke it!! Apologies for the stereotype man.
Unbelievable performance. Trimble may have got mom but Touhy and Muller and Pienaar were world class tonight.
Ravenhill is absolutely buzzing.

Thats for sure Dave. But more importantly, it also puts them in for a guaranteed runner-up in the Big One.
Not there yet, but they have given themselves every chance to make the QF's.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I love it too Gibbo. It i just soo exciting, every year and although we may say at at the beginning of the season that we could predict the last 8 or four, we always get results lke this. I always fancied Ulster to win this, I didn't think they would destroy Leicester.
But you could tell from the off who would win. Ulster attacked the rucks, they chased the high balls, these are so critical to winning rugby games. It is so obvious, I never uderstand why coaches don't tell their team at half time - chase the blydi ball whether it is in the air or in a ruck. It is the way to upset the other team's rhythm and can give you a platform.

Willy,
It was superb dude.
Give me the humble-pie. Give me the soup to drink and Ill eat and drink em.
That was the best performance from an Ulster team since 1999.
Not there yet tho....
But, I have hunch ye may be coming down to Landsdowne for the QF's. That would be the biggest meet, since the Martin Luther-King gig.

Well your last hunch backfired. How good were you at guessing what your offspring would be before they were born?
Very nice Leicester fan just gave me his rugby top. Very cold in Belfast at the moment. He was very peed off though so I didn't want to turn him down!

You have to love the Heino. Monster rugby.
There are very few teams on the planet who could have lived with Ulster tonight. People will slate Leicester or make excuses for them (depending on their allegencies), but the reality is that Ulster were very very very good and made them look ordinary.
There is no shame in losing to a performance such as Ulster gave tonight.

Dave, not sure - I think Glasgow of all currently 2nd place teams have the lowest points on 10 - if they had two TBP wins (v v unlikely) that would take them to 20, but let's be realistic here, Ulster are at least in the Amlin qf, and almost certainly in the Heino qfDave wrote:Guys does this guarantee Ulster at least an Amlin spot?

Now that was one great game of rugby - well done Ulster. If Mrs P wasn't hoarse before , she will be now! To be honest, I thought the result would go the other way (just) but Ulster were excellent across the board.

The guy next to me had a better one. To Tom Court after the scrum went down; "GET ANGRY TOM! PRETEND THEY STOLE THE CHARGER TO YOUR KINDLE!!"
I almost sh!t. Brilliant stuff. And sure didn't we get the penalty in the next scrum? Tom Court loves his kindle.

Yeah, the Swing low was hilarious, although we did sing it very well.
Confused the living day-lights out of the Tiger fans in our box.
(Will you listen to me with the "OUR box"!!!)
Cockerill was using the box next to us as his technical area. Not the happiest bunny I ever saw.

I thought the Swing Low was ironic - and I loved you for it, but as I haven't watched much rugby this season I wasn't sure.
I think someone should Youtube it, like that time at Thomond

One of those rugby moments to enjoy

Sorry Cari, I couldn't keep up the Os updates. My phone was on its last legs and I had to take it for a lie down in my room to charge up.
Saw the first half of the Ulster game 'as live' re-run on Italian Sky. Hitting the hay now - can't keep my eyes open. Too much Nasty Azzurro....
Played Embra - awesome result
Day 2 beckons.
