The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Rhys Thomas, Ben Castle, Andy Fenby and Bill McLaren above the bar!

UrghhhhHHH I HATE the phrase four year cycle! Stick your four year cycle; it's all nonsense. Wales won the Slam in 2008 and non-one knew who Priestland was. Had he even played for the Scarlets at that point? Didn't stop him guiding them to a RWC semi.
I feel better for getting that off my chest

Errm, I'd like to see her in none. Well, maybe just a wooly-hat. Total rugby baaaabe.
Cheika talking now. Liking the backup crew. Cheika, Woody and Dayglo. I want more Moore tho.

Nah, Moore annoys me
Italy have McLean and Venditti on the wings. A not very fast fullback and a rooky winger who's been exposed for Aironi. Cheika can talk about bullying, but if I was Italian I wouldn't want to see those guys dealing with too many one on ones, nevermind overlaps.

Moore annoys most people. But not in a insipid, smarmy, Inverdale/Gusset way. He really pishes the Paddies off. Actually, he pishes everyone off with his honesty. Thats why I like him.
Read his Autobiog. Compelling stuff. On a personal level too.

BBC, I wish you wouldn't do these interviews in the most stupid places - like pitchside during the announcements and music. It's ridiculous! I'm sure they could've found somewhere else.

I seriously cant stand Moore, he annoys the bejaysus out of me. I would probably despise him if i was an English fan as he really rips into them.
That said, he has come out with some cracking 1 liners during his commentary
Inverdale is just slimy but it could be worse Clare Balding could be on, she really gets on my nerves.

I love Brian Moore. At any point during a given England game if a player does something he disagrees with he goes off on one. His co-comentator (usually Butler) then leaves a few seconds before coming in again. Happens like clockwork.

Afternoon pub. Not a great half. Italy using the driving maul to make yards, but not creating anything off the back of it. Awful tackling from Italy for the French tries.
Consensus in the pub is that France will win by over 25 points.
As - I will let you know when that SW beer festival is on. Easy enough to get back to your London pad from there. A bus to Edgware and 15 minutes on the tube.

Has anyone else seen the BBC homepage? It's good that they're plugging the Six Nations, but they have photos of Palisson, Mirco Bergamasco, Mike Tindall and (I think) Kelly Brown, none of whom are even playing this weekend.

I had France by 17 on SG..... looks like they're going to win by 18 at the mo, story of my life.
On the other hand, they'll probably stick another 7 on Italy just to gyp me out of the margin point.

This one, will be interesting - to say the least.
Phhok it I just love it . But this year, with so many teams in flux (besides ours) - it has so many possible permutations.
BTW, would someone ever shoot dat phooker Inverdale! He's gettin all political on it now. Its rugby, you complete and utter diick!

Had France by 16 and I've Scotland by 4. It won't be high scoring will it? I feel my 18-14 should have been more like 12-8? Too late now.
Won't we all (or most of us who tipped the Thistle) feel like right grouse if England spring an 'upset'?

Calm down dear, you'll blow something. I have to agree though.
I'm really looking forward to seeing if SL has made a difference, but the Calcutta game at Murrayfield always puts the wind up me, I'm off to my mates to watch it in a bit so I'll see you later.
The England backline could be explosive, but I'm not sure how they're going to get that much ball.... oh, Parks is playing isn't he, I guess he'll be the best source of England ball.....

Feck hiding behind the sofa PJ. I've got a wall of London Pride in front of me.
I've a feeling this game won't be as boring as recent Murrayfield encounters between these teams. It may be helter skelter, and lack precision but I reckon both teams will give it a go.
