The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of
ST DAVID, THE Prince of Wales and WALE'S CAPTAIN
Happy St David's day

At a house party at the minute and Jared Payne and Craig Gilroy just walked in. Do I ask for a photo?

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Gilroy did get exposed by Visser; some of the more blinkered of our Ulster fraternity were banging on the drum for him to get Ireland/Ireland Wolfhounds call- too soon. He's still shaky positionally and defensively. Still obviously a player on a learning curve. A lot of promise there though, Terblanche has been a great influence for him. Cave too. Those two do a lot of talking to him on the pitch, they are guiding him through games at the moment. That's the value of importing class players.
Not that I would say any of this to him at a house party.

Notch in real life Jared Payne is tiny. It may be the alcohol talking but I reckon since he's still pretty much on one leg I could take him. Huge chin on the boy though I tell ya.

Afternoon All
Hope everyone's well. I'm actually watching some roundball before the proper sport starts (well, it's on the telly before the rugby) - Kairdiff City live from up the road. One frustrating thing about watching this - I wish I knew what the fans were singing and chanting....then again, maybe it's best not to know Not much seems to be happening anyway....Kairdiff have missed three good opportunities to score.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Hi all.
Bad weekend for my mate, what with this football, plus the Dragons yesterday and all. Least his baby is here now. Think I'm a Godfather, but I'll wait till it's official before I believe it.
Undecided what I want today. A French win would probably make our game at the end of the Tournament better if it was a shootout, but then Ireland winning might make France disinterested by the time our game comes. For what it's worth I think France will win both their next two games

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Afternoon Risca...congrats on the Godfatherhood (if it's happened).
If France lost today, I don't think they'd lose interest by our game because if we were going for a GS they'd still want to spoil the party.

Somebody put a photo of it on Facebook. Not my best tv appearance. I was pretty angry all evening though. Had a headache from shouting so loud again.
Nice try Bowe. A real gift though

That is the best half of Rugby from Ireland since the Australia game. Some of our tackling has been bordering on assault it's so ferocious.
