First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat. The pub has ventured to Cross Keys, as their team is in the British and Irish Cup Final.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Richie McCaw, George Smith, Robert Nash,Billy Holland, John Muller, Greg Laidlaw, Aurelien Rougerie, Leo Cullen, Rhys Thomas and Iestyn Thomas.

yaeh I'll need to watch it again, just not sure what could make the French guy react like that, if it was for nothing then twas totally out of line.

This Trump v Carter game in the snooker (I've had it on in the background) is shaping up to be a v v good one.

It would be bizarre if it was for nothing.

You need a try, time has expired, your on the attack and you decide to set upon somebody for no reason.

Nah doesn't add up.

Leinster do it again. Well done. Clermont lost that in not scoring a try or tries in the first half when they chucked the kitchen sink at them. Pulsating game, but the talking points are all about Barnes again.

A simple question, how can Barnes or his assistants look for punches amongst all the other nonsense they have to keep an eye on in the modern breakdown?

Anyhow, a big game by a big game team.

Sorry Ulster, but I think a Leinster loss in the final will now be a huge upset.

There's no real downside for Ulster though, even if Leinster win. More money in sponsorship gained, more experience gained in knockout rugby, more merchandise sold, more people aware of Ulster Rugby, more season tickets sold for next year- it's all good for us.

And then, maybe, against all odds- sport is funny. Ulster are back in the underdog role, will have Henry and Afoa back and will fight for everything. You never know. And the more people patronise us and talk up Leinster the more our determination will build.

It's sort of win-win as far as I'm concerned.

Barnes uaed to be such a good ref - lost the plot totally in that game. ASM rightly aggrieved - Barnes bottled it.

We'll be hoping not to get either Barnes or Poite- that goes for both teams.

I'm just beginning to come to terms with what I just witnessed. Echos of the stoop in 2009 in sheer intensity and excitement. My heart still hasn't stopped beating at 100 miles an hour. Boys stood up to be counted today and proved that that are the best team in the world at the minute.

I'm just lost for words about it all.

Hi pub, massive congratulations to the Ulster and Leinster regs The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Cross Keys - Page 12 1145808659 .

Toughed it out, rode your luck, but above and beyond anything else, defended like demons. The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Cross Keys - Page 12 1710857839

Worthy finalists when all is said and done - and Connacht get another fairytale... don't you just love the Heino?

We won't win in London with less than 50% possession though- we need to go up another few gears to trouble Leinster. The good news is we can wrap the players in cotton wool now- nothing for us in the Rabo. Don't expect a strong team to visit Munster!

Keep that quiet, Notch...don't want our neighbours giving us the old heave-ho about how we only treat Pro12 as warm-up for the HC. So rephrase that bit. Let me see, "We'd like to still win Rabo but we have too many injury concerns to put up a fight in the final few weeks" That might do it Wink

Theoretically you're right Stag, but it would undermine summer tours, including the Lions. No sorry, Ireland will just have to get a coach who can unlock their potential on the International stage.

Fair play Leinster. Winning away in France is a big deal. More than happy with our underdogs tag. Had asm won our expectations would have been pretty optimistic. As it is as long as we give a good account of ourselves I'll be more than happy. What comes first. League play offs or final?

No Fly, literally. We are out of the playoffs, we shouldn't be risking guys trying to finish 5th instead of 6th.

We should be giving guys like Paddy McAllister, Lewis Stevenson, Ali Birch, Robbie Diack, Paul Marshall, Paddy Jackson, Luke Marshall and Nevin Spence gametime in Limerick; good players who aren't in our first XV (except Jackson) but will be important for us down the line.

That picture and the sight of BM standing in the middle of the pitch at Lansdowne just quietly taking it all in are my 2 lasting images from yesterday.

Gibbo,

Don't worry. So long as you only have to ask for more credit in Dutch you'll be grand!

Rodders,

Really sorry about the car. Horrible thing to happen. Blooming Leinster supporters I'll bet!

There weren't enough Edinburgh fans there to carry all those Flags Rodders!

We'll have to get your 2 to you before the final!

I have promised one of ours to a pal who had to give up her ticket because she had to compete in the same competition as P4 but later in the day.

The rest we plan to put all around the garden on final day. I have never flown a flag before yesterday but we put one of our wee old ones in one of our trees before I left yesterday!!

I can hardly believe that my team get there after all this time and we can't go to help cheer them on.

Sad

Still, I hope to be cheering on the wee fella if he makes it through to the Ulster Schools so it was no contest really.

That's a bit of a shocker, how come? Looking after the 8 kids? Very Happy (blame Glas for that one).

The most important thing is that they're there and representing Ulster, and you'll be there and representing mini-P. The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Cross Keys - Page 12 3610695981

Sorted.

Yeah indeed.

We have a friend, the wee fella's mini rugby coach actually, who couldn't be at the semi because he had 9 hours of surgery on Tuesday. We promised to make up for his family's absence at Lansdowne noise wise. He is doing really well and has plans to go to the final so I reckon we will just have to ask him to repay the favour!

And, actually, can I just point out that Glas was not "to blame" for any of my kids!!!!!

All MrP's fault!
